Is Hawkmoon quest broken?

I don't know if this is a bug, but after following all the steps from Crow, and quests, to get the Hawkmoon hand cannon, it is impossible for me to complete the "secret mission". This mission is not marked on the map, nor does its name appear. However, I did eventually find it in Trostland, BUT trying to do this very difficult quest solo without any info about the combatants is way above my skill. I think this quest is called "Harbinger", and although I have reached as far as the "Survive" part, there is no way I'll ever complete it. It seems this quest is also followed by yet another difficult quest; I have to ask - are these Hawkmoon quests aimed exclusively at the expert/pro-gamer? It took me 2 hours to reach the final open circular "survive" area, but aftter 48 deaths(!) I lost patience. Now, I am just a casual, elderly gamer who plays for FUN, but this is not fun in the least. My advice would be unless you have a fireteam who are all skilled, don't waste time on this quest. Is anyone else struggling? Is the quest broken? Thanks.

It's a very difficult quest to do alone because of the number of enemies and the types. It is intended for up to 3 people to go in, so you're effectively trying to solo a 3-member activity. By the time I beat it solo the other day, I had 50 deaths, so I can totally understand your frustration. It took me about 4-5 hours to do it. It probably wouldn't take me as long now, since I know where to stand and what to deal with, but it'd still be rough for me to solo it simply because of the enemies and their types. Unfortunately, there will be some activities that you may or may not enjoy compared to others. I, myself, severely dislike PvP and I avoid it as much as I can, but plenty of people love it. I found the quest frustrating at first until I figured out things to do, and then it was just a little tedious to solo it. Once I finished it, I was quite happy that I did so on my own (and got a Triumph for doing it solo as well, which I didn't know about until I got it). So, no, the quest is not broken. Yes, I was struggling quite a bit (it doesn't help that I was a bit underpowered, too), but I was able to do it. It just took time and effort to do so. The hardest part for me outside of the enemies was just figuring out where to go at the start. It's not obvious for several of the places to go, and I had to resort to asking for help, which frustrated me greatly.
