Even if the perks weren't that super great (EDIT: The perks were solid, I just think there could've more to them.) they were unique and deserve to keep some exclusivity. This is how you work to establish actual stand out loot. Imagine if Trials of Osiris and the Glory playlist dropped different weapons with unique perks. Imagine if Nightfalls and Gambit had weapons with perk pools that you could only get in those activities.
For the longest time weapons with the highest potential for a desired "god roll" have been the stand out weapons. Now we're grinding for weapons to fill in the gaps in our armory.
I want weapons that actually stand out. Not overpowered weapons, let's make that clear. Sets of weapons that aren't just unique because they have a different appearance. Unique in that you can't get that weapon perk anywhere else, not just a perk combination. I don't think this idea is that ambitious. Just think, one or two weapon perks exclusive to certain activities.

7 RepliesWhat about DSC sword?

4 RepliesEdited by Kiro - 13: 1/21/2021 10:22:20 PMDSC is the only source of meaningful weapons at this current time. As the non-raid new ones are straight dumpster fire quality, zero reason to use things like Hight Albedo, Hailing Confusion, Bonechiller. And even the crow guns are meh, knock offs, or just plain bad. I assume the promise of epic loot also died with Cayde-6.

4 RepliesI think Recombination is one of the best perks in the game, at its worst it’s a full free reload and a worse auto reloaded

7 RepliesI agree. I do the entire raid and not just the final encounter because of that. The weapons are one of a kind and are good enough to feel rewarding. If they wanted people to use other things then that’s all they had to do. Add new perks. Old weapons don’t get new perks. As simple as that.

2 RepliesI would have like the raid weapons better if at least one of those new perks was built into the gun. It's strange to me that the raid weapons can either feel unique, or feel like literally everything else you have owned before. The d1 raid weapons did it, so I'm no exactly sure why they stopped doing it.

1 ReplyTechnically Trials does have 1 unique perk.

1 ReplyReconstruction works wonders in Crucible sometimes

I would have liked to see curated rolls make a return, even if they came un-master worked. Or maybe a higher difficulty mode for ''Adept'' versions.

5 RepliesUm, the raid perks are amazing? What are you talking about "not that great" lmao

1 ReplyAgreed.
I want weapons that actually stand out. Not overpowered weapons, let's make that clear. Sets of weapons that aren't just unique because they have a different appearance. Unique in that you can't get that weapon perk anywhere else, not just a perk combination.
Yes this is exactly why I grind weapons in this game. I personally didn't pay that much attention to perks in D1 other than the popular ones because I was younger and didn't really think about it. That's completely different in D2. When a new gun comes out, I instantly check its perk pool on D2 Gunsmith/Light.gg to see if there's any unique perks/combos. If I'm not mistaken to this day, No Feelings is still the only scout that can roll Box-Breathing and Sacred Provenence is the only pulse that can roll Rapid Hit. I grinded for both because of that exclusivity. I really like the raid perks too.

I believe it should be every type of weapon with alternate RPM’s scattered throughout all activities.
