Hawkmoon + Celestial Nighthawk
Okay, here me out—
What if Hawkmoon + Celestial Nighthawk had a badass synergy like how Thorn + Necrotic Grip has?
Bottom tree Gunslinger literally is just a solar-powered Hawkmoon while top tree is a solar-powered The Last Word; Celestial Nighthawk only really works with bottom tree Gunslinger, so it would make sense if Hawkmoon + Celestial Nighthawk made a nice synergy.

What if..... With full stack of paracausal shots and you activate the bottom tree golden gun... Damn, that should even destroy the ship of darkness with it.

2 RepliesI believe there are several synergies that should exist, like Lucky Pants loading a MM round into Ace after precision kills, kills with Firefly should load more MM rounds. Actium War Rig loading Sweet Business faster than other ARs. Oathkeeper granting Wishender a significant draw speed boost on kills. Worm God Caress granting Monte Carlo an increased chance to fully charge your melee. Wings of Sacred Dawn (not that anyone uses it) giving the user of Vigilance Wing full access to one or both of it's perks.

1 Replyit already does. hawkmoon needs headshots to use perk. headshots perk super regen for bottum tree. that is synergy. perhaps a hidden benefit could be when paired hawkmoon grants extended duration after activation of super. still will only get 1 shot.

I would like armor and weapons in general to synergise like riskrunner and stormcaller could like when you have arc conductor and cast your super it lasts longer and when you blink on top tree you leave behind mini storms

Bonus Solar Damage +Burn on Final Round of any handcannon, scales with damage... So it would work with any handcannon but would be exponentially better with hawkmoon Hawkmoon is pretty strong already at full stacks, but like 20,000 extra solar damage on last round would definitely make it super fun to use... Build stacks against thrall then slap Navota into the Abyss with the final round... It would definitely be awesome if Bungie started adding more synergy builds... 🤩

Might be broken but who cares. Break all the things. If you have max paracausal charges and pop Golden Gun, how cool would it be if the fire surrounding you and your shots was the paracausal energy color Hawkmoon uses?

Like if paracasual shot translated into Knock they Down to a higher extent or buffed damage? Yeah definitely.

It sort of does since precision hits on bottem tree increase super recharge and hawkmoon has high aim assist and is great for head shots

I've got it. For every stack of Paracausal Shot you have, and if you're on the last bullet in the cylinder when you use goldie, your celestial goldie shot does further increased damage. I'm thinking, plus .5 times damage for every stack, so at 1 stack, 6.5 times damage, 2 stacks is 7 times damage, and so on, ramping all the way up to 9.5 times damage if you have the full stack of 7. Make it happen, Bungie, let's go.

Perhaps getting a crit shot/kill with goldie automatically puts Hawkmoon down to its last bullet with the full x7 charge.

Word is they've let Psion Flayers out of their cages, to dig around in the Central AI's Cortex. Which means they really want what's buried in there. If Rasputin was protecting it, it's valuable. We've got to flush those Flayers out.

I'm all for fun, creative synergies like Thorn + Necrotic Grip and Sweet Business + Actium War Rig, but combining Hawkmoon and Nighthawk would almost certainly go over the top. Hawkmoon deals in frankly ridiculous multipliers and Nighthawk has perennially been one of the best PvE Exotics, if not the outright best. Applying any amount of Hawkmoon's effects to Nighthawk would pose many balance problems as well as turning every Raid group into 1 Bubble Titan with Divinity and 5 Nighthawk Hunters with Hawkmoon.

That makes sense, I would love to see more exotics get powered up that way. Its a cool concept and would definitely make builds interesting.

2 RepliesIm not against it but at the same time its not going to happen because Nighthawk by itself is the most powerful pve hunter legendary in the game. Its basically the hunter class version of what it used to be in raiding of "Bring izi" except Night hawk never got nerfed. If you wanna talk weapons that combo with the nighthawk stupid good, look no further then Bad Juju. Bad Juju + gunslinger, + night hawk, = ~1 min supers.

8 RepliesNo, Synergy needs to make sense. Thorn & Necrotic have ties to a character in the lore and have the same affect on living individuals. I'm not saying there shouldn't be more exotics that synergise, I'm saying Hawkmoon and Celestial only have one thing in common and that's the Hawk in their names. If we're going to get more they should have more in common than that.
