Hawthorne Voice Lines
So she basically is just another useless vendor just a good material dropper at this point, but there are so many outstanding events going on other than the fact that we "Took out Ghaul" etc. etc. Like why never update her voice lines?
And before the casual comes down below and states "Bungie doesn't care about their game" you can go lol it ain't 2010 where that was cool, looking for some genuine guesses like maybe the VA decided to not work with them anymore etc. I feel like Bungie's team is too big to just ignore the smaller details of the game. Maybe its got something to do with the repaired tower coming later down the line idk.

People are always waiting for the Vanguard to step in and protect them, but it’s Guardians like you who really make a difference. That’s why I started this whole calm thing in the first place.

Bungie [i]doesn't[/i] care. Getting a voice actor to record new lines is a small detail that they feel they can ignore. Why spend ANY money if they can spend NONE instead? If the voice actors get "too" famous and want more money/don't want to do more Destiny work, then Bungie replaces them. Which they could do with Hawthorne, if that was the problem, IF they cared. Which they don't.

Now I find myself having to mute her whenever I go to collect something, even if it's not for the pinnacle/cores.

Ghaul isn't even in the game anymore because the Red War got removed. That's how little Bungie cares about updating her lines.

Considering new light players will have absolutely no idea who Ghaul even is.....since the vanilla quest is absolutely gone now

I mean... It kinda is because Bungie doesn’t care. They’ve never been particularly revered for their attention to detail in Destiny, and Hawthorne has become an irrelevant character after D2’s launch, so she’s near the bottom the list to be updated. They have an abysmal track record with voice actors, but they’ve always recast characters if need be, so I don’t think that’s it.

Might as well update all the npcs in the tower. Half still talk about the red war despite it being over for a few years.
