Master Lost Sector Exotic Drop Rate is Busted BAD
TL;DR - Previoulsy farmed Exotic Arm Legend/Master Lost Sectors around 50+ times to try to get Ursa Furiosa, didnt get it until today after farming yesterdays and todays Legendary/Master Veles Labyrinth another 46 times.
About 26 Master Sector runs only gave 3 Exotics.
Okay, so duh a lot of people report this, at least from what I have seen. But ever since I could farm the Lost Sectors for Exotics I kept track, somewhat, of how many I completed in search of Ursa Furiosa, an Exotic I had NOT REDISCOVERED since Armor 2.0 dropped. Thanks RNG.
I farmed the Legend Lost Sectors a lot in the beginning, only for Arm Exotics with my Titan cause I wanted Ursa. I did about 30some runs at Perdition, out if those I got about 10 Exotics. Almost every 3rd run gave a drop. Nice okay.
But out of those exotics 7 were Wormgod Caress. Out of 10 possible exotics, I got Wormgod 7 times. Horrible.
So I managed to be able to run Masters, so I ran Bunker E15 about 16-18 times. Cause Exotics are Common, awesome right? Hahaha- NO.
I only got 1 exotic drop, and it was another Wormgod or Aeon sh-t. Cant remember but I hated it.
So Yesterday, feeling optimistic, and seeing as I managed to finish Vels in under 4mins I started farming. I ran it 36 times, got A LOT of Wormgod and Aeon, with the occasional Synthoceps. But no Doomfang, no Citans, no Icefall, and Certainly no Ursa Furiosa. Feeling drained I stopped.
Today, I saw Vels was back at Master and dropping Arms. So I went again.
After 10 more runs, and only getting 1 Aeon Safe in between, I finally got Ursa Furiosa to drop. After 46 runs, 10 of which were Master Sectors that dropped exotics ONLY TWICE, I got them.
After 90+ Lost Sector runs I got ONE Ursa Furiosa to Drop.
Around 26 of those runs were Master Lost Sectors and they only produced 3 Exotic Drops.
Theres a lot I LOATH about how Bungie runs this game(sun setting) but today this was tops.
Pyrrhic Victory, so bitter sweet.
I want to hear other peoples experiences farming Master Lost Sectors. Hopefully ya’ll didnt suffer as much as I did.

Yeah I've run A LOT, and the drop rate... especially for the new gear was way higher a few weeks ago. I had better drop rates with the 1250's a few weeks ago than the 1280's now.

The lost sectors are semi farmable I'd say. Yes you can farm for a certain piece of armour based on body part, but getting the piece of armour you want with the stats you want is almost impossible. If you have actually got the armour piece already, farming for different stats is a waste of time. On a side note, if you get a piece of exotic armour based around a certain ability, like Karnstein Armlets are based around melee ability, it should drop with higher strength stat. The amount of gauntlets I've got with a strength stat of 5 or below is ridiculous. Winters Guile the same.

A couple weeks ago I ran 15 in a row and didn't get a single exotic. Then a week later I got 3 in 7 clears. Its feast or famine. Still busted.

I did five 1280 runs of Bunker E-15 and got Zero exotics. Then I did one 1250 Run of Perdition and got 2 exotics (A random drop and then the expected one). The only exotics I want are the new ones, but Bungle gave me 2 exotics I already have, that are lower stats than what I have too. I see that Bungle hasn't even mentioned this in their list of fixes, which means "Working as intended". I'm not wasting my time on this crap and it's just another useless time wasting exercise in Bungle playing Puppet Master.

I stopped doing those after I got 17 peregrine greaves in a row. I just wanted dunemarchers. (legend difficulty)

3 RepliesWait till Veles is the legend and your desired armour piece and farm that. With an optimal loadout you can clear it in under 1:30. Legend drop rates seem no different to master

Lame. I got all of the new ones in 30 total runs. I guess you are just unlucky.

Master lost sectors aren't worth it, the drop rate didn't seem to be different from legend, so I just farmed legend.

Yah after doing a half dozen or so I realized it was a better use of my time to run the 1250s. You can clear them in 4-5 minutes depending on which one and it’s mindless. In the end 1280s just aren’t worth it.

Master drop rate is not impressive for sure. But at the same time what can you expect when most can be speedrun in 3-4 min ?

3 RepliesYou also have to account for the amount of time you put into lost sectors If you're too under-leveled it could take you the whole 15 minutes just to finish once when in reality it should take at least 6 if you don't speed run, even for Master lost sectors for the sake of only being able to clear it 4 times in 1 hour the next thing is champions-obviously people should aim for the best gear with the most amount of points if you try your hardest and get the best rewards possible it won't take 90 runs People always say the drop rate is trash, but I kinda disagree considering it only took me 3 runs maximum to get 1 new exotic, Platinum rewards, close to max points (headshots help a lot and people seem to forget about the bonus points) and the most amount of time it took me was 25-30 minutes to complete 1 lost sector 3 times because I was aware of the difference in power. I say the drop rate is honestly too common, I already have all hunter exotics and now lost sectors are useless to me, even though they shouldn't be. They [i]are[/i] exotics after all.

RNG is cruel sometimes. I've run Coup de Grace must be 16 times now, and I've completed 21 runs of DSC. Still no Foith Mark, still no Eyes of Tomorrow (and weirdly, no hunter cloak. I mean, come on). Took me 3 runs of Last Wish to get 1k, 10 lost sector runs to get Bakris, but only 1 to get Scars. It is what it is, but I think if you have run the same thing over 20 times, RNG should tighten up a little. It can get disheartening. Anyway, so glad you got your Ursa, congrats!

Only started doing them today, did 1 master and 5-6 legends, got 2 prisms n a few cores, that's it, took hours. They are very punishing, very tedious and offer little reward.

1 ReplyDrop rate does suck, but you not having ursa yet doesn't affect what drops. Only pass and xur engrams work on a knock out list, not world drops.

I’ve done a few 1250 and got only one exotic rag I cannot use. Other than that , well nothing to brag about . Mostly junk.😩

Read the title. No explanation needed. It is truly terrible. Grinded so much for an exotic lately, I feel so burned out due to nothing dropping. I feel happier playing other games.. sad innit..

2 RepliesPersonally I think that drop rate is perfectly acceptable and that exotics are too easy to get anyways. Also, Ursa Furiosa isn't anymore likely to drop from those sectors than sa by other exotic. However, Wormgod, Icefall, Aeon, and Synthoceps are all more likely to drop by a massive margin.
