I've run into the issue the other day where the tether boxes became immune. If he wants red relay, and it's immune, it's a wipe. These encounter breaking bugs are the main reason why I hate Garden, especially Divinity runs.

You can fix that with chaos reach but the box will be permanently open from what I saw. If you double tether to the boss you should be able to 2 phase as long as you have good damage dealers. That's how I've always done it
