It may not impact you, but it still is not nothing. It is the same thing Bungies has been doing since after Shadowkeep. They know so many players have a ridiculous amount of tokens saved up. They want to get rid of these tokens before the new loot drops so everyone will have to spend an unfair amount of time grinding out the new weapons. If they did not want that, they would be gone for S14.
