Titan main here so no crying about the hunter nerf from me, if however fissures is getting hit then glacial nade will be far less viable than say duskfield in PVP now. This leaves the Titans second fragment (getting melee power mini crystals from statsis crystals) in quite a poor place. Is Bungie going to rework this in some way?

They did yhe right thing with a blanket nerf otherwise everyone would be complaining about shatter on the titan which is way easier to activate and causes titans to litteraly skate on the screen. Still get cooldowns for shattering just not a 1 hit kill. I knew the hinter was going to be relegated to slows because of how busted shatter dive is but if we nerf it in one then nerf it on all which they did. No buff needed.

Everything you mentioned is getting nerfed next. Plus your super. The circle jerk of nerf is circular. Even warlocks will get it again.

1 ReplyThe wall still freezes, blocks damage and can do some serious damage when in combination with that fragment, it just won't be AS potent as it is now. The duskfield grenade isn't NEARLY as annoying as dying instantly every single gun fight but I'm almost positive it will get toned down in a later update.

First: When a hunter shatterdives a glacial wall grenade the receiving end will take damage if they are with in the radius of the glacial wall's shatter and not necessarily with in the shatterdive aoe template. Second: Shatterdive has 2 effects actually, well more but 2 for dealing damage. First it deals "ability" damage, second AND MOST IMPORTANT it causes "shatter" on impact. So the nerf to damage via falling off to 5 damage at max range is irrelevant its the "shatter" effect that kills you more often. So when you are frozen you will still be one hit reguardless of damage delt/range as long as the target is with in the template of shatter dive or glacial wall because of "shatter on impact" effect shatterdive has. With thoes points in mind, lets get down to what they nerfed its well a 1m range nerf when all is said and done and 25% damage reduction down from 50%. These changes solve nothing as the issue is it one shotting player, because the template for glacial wall remains the same thus extending the inherent range of shatter dive and while still one shoting players regardless of damage fall off because of the "shatter" effect. They need to disable whisper of fisure for hunters so it does not nerf the other classes is the better answer, but um yea... we got this well pointless change. Id like to see the damage reduction bumped back up then if they make this change as the trade off for a fragment disabled for an entire class.

4 RepliesThey didn’t mention it in the TWAB but most of the damage comes from the base shatter damage of crystals not the fragment. Overall, the fragment nerf only reduced the maximum damage by 10% or 20% for Supers, just that the target has to be a fair bit closer to achieve said maximum.
