I tell ya warframe is looking better by the min lol oh my bungie how the mighty has fallen. At least the warframe team actually cares about their players and listen to the community. Something bungie will never learn

Warframe makes me doze off into a bloody coma with how boring it is. Minecraft Dungeons is quite nice though.

It's funny how anytime someone brings up Warframe how some players try to use "it's bad blah blah blah" as a legit argument. thinking they are shutting a post down🤦♂️ All games have their issues, but one thing Warframe has that Bungie literally has never had?
Communitcatiin with their player base, respect for their player base and they show it.
What does Bungie do again? oh, that's right, have players pay streamers to keep them around by buying emblems and shaders. All the while refusing to look at the actual fact that this game is broken that it is literally in the worst state it has ever been in. You know, because removing half the game was a good thing making 90% of it pointless to even play Charge your player base $10 extra just to get loot added to the game after buying an expansion Use the sunsetting method and pretend you made a "mistake" Use old content and copy and paste work and loot from things like IB, etc... is better than what Warframe is doing right?
-
Hang out in in game chat long enough and you will change your opinion a bit. Warframe has a ton of stuff to do but honestly no real reason to do most of it. Honestly that’s my critique on most live service games after the bloom has went away.

Edited by The 7th fall: 1/16/2021 4:59:36 AMI hate to quote Datto but this fits Warframe just as much as Destiny 2 "There is so much to do and none of it matters". I've played Boreframe for years and I will stand by my words and say Warframe is only barely better off than Destiny 2. -DE does to a degree communicate with their players... but in the past 2-3 years they've been letting that slide more often than not. -Collect and mod Warframes... where will you use 'em... ? -Collect guns and use 'em... err same content...? -How 'bout riven mods? DE controls their stat bonuses and ALL new weapons now have a 0.5/5 disposition until DE determines otherwise every 6-12 months. -Kuva farming to reroll rivens is horrendously awful. -You have zero control over your rolls on said rivens unlike the rerolling system in Nioh 2, Terra, Diablo 3, etc. -PvP... yeah that sucks and thankfully DE knows this but it is also neglected too. -Raids are gone because "People kept exploiting and glitching it"... and who's fault is it for not playtesting it properly or fixing it right? -Steel Path is supposed to be a harder version of the star chart missions of Boreframe when all it is is amping up enemy damage, accuracy and health/armor/shield bars without doing much to improve rewards beyond resource and mod drop rate. -DE keeps shoving out shoddy and unfinished content without working on improving past content to where just about half or more of the game is not worth playing. -The various bugs... ugh, you might as well go to a Louisiana swamp to find just as many. This list can go on.

Nope, still no worth to playing it despite getting quite a few suggestions that'd be grand if they were implemented. And yes keeping silent unless there is any actual update is good... but silence isn't always golden with how vocal people have been getting with suggestions and wanting the game to improve rather than gradually decline like it has been for quite a while.
Back at destiny. Collect guns, mods and armor... where will you use 'em?
Hmm... fair enough.
Seeing things go bonkers and people scream on disposition change like DE just did something on holocaust level, I'm not surprised they chose to play it safe
I wouldn't say there was a real demand for it so much as a lot of people were saying rivens were poorly implemented and or never should of happened. The disposition implementation and nerfing is a terrible bandaid fix so that DE can switch the riven meta around... just like what Bungie does with playing red light green light with metas.
"sustainable content" crap people in the forum keep asking with no clear definition of sustainable
A lot asked and provided genuine feedback on how to keep it sustainable. Plus if DE was really into keeping it sustainable just look at how other games did and still do it with similar systems to riven mods in place.
"It makes you don't want to play if you get your god roll quickly" - Someone in this forum I feel that can apply on any game as an excuse to make things grindy when someone said that
The other side of this double edge sword is just as bad as well not getting any decent or acceptable stats if you keep wasting a lot of time with little or no results.
And seeing how people say it's broken on every update and hotfix, what's the different with DCV and sunsetting that takes more than that and some are paid DLC?
I'd say two much smaller raids being taken out due to bugs not being fixed properly or at least mitigated is far less lazy than Bungie just stripping 3/4ths of the game because "we ran out of space and can't fix it all". That being said I still think DE shouldn't of removed them years ago because they're "too hard to fix" with no real update on when they will return with a lot less bugs and exploits.
What does destiny do to make hard content then? And what kind of reward that can satisfy loot thirsty gods that wipe everything with no sweat?
Take the lazy route and just up enemy defense, attack, accuracy, and throw in more of those enemies while somewhat increasing the reward... but not really on the reward part. DE did the same thing but they could've easily put in umbra forma drops -although make them rare- with the Stalker Acolytes, made each boss drop 5-10 steel essence on a daily cooldown, perhaps infested/corpus/grineer/corrupted variations of regular mods that are exclusive to steel path elite enemy drops or acolyte drops? And these are just thought up on the fly that I'm sure most have already thought of and told DE about.
Ah yes, and now I see complain about that "unfinished content" getting improvement like railjack and lich being connected
True DE has made Railjack enemies A LOT less tanky thank god. Although the reward tables have had no real beneficial change and that promise of liches being connected to Railjack have been delayed several times to where that'll likely not happen even with corpus liches on the horizon.
One thing I see is they're quick to patch that compared to bungie that is slow to patch bugs that are detrimental to player progression but able to do it in a day if it's beneficial to player progression
With each patch they're getting slower and slower to react unless in heavily benefits the player to not make the game a chore and more fun. Remember the laundry list of issues with Deimos and the Necramechs? That took them close to half a year before they made any real headway in that for example. And while yes they do react faster than Bungie -though anyone can beat Bungie's 3-9 month average patch releases- they still react pretty slowly in comparison to years ago. P.S. - While yes C19 did make it tough for DE to get patches out this excuse is now plain annoying and quite frankly juvenile to use anymore if you try to use this.

And yes keeping silent unless there is any actual update is good... but silence isn't always golden with how vocal people have been getting with suggestions and wanting the game to improve rather than gradually decline like it has been for quite a while.
Now, is there any reason to play destiny aside from grinding power on every new content release? Or any reason to play something when loot has expiry date? And not every suggestion improves the game. We had suggestion of one life mode, we get arbitration and complaints flying about having only one life. What to say?
I wouldn't say there was a real demand for it so much as a lot of people were saying rivens were poorly implemented and or never should of happened. The disposition implementation and nerfing is a terrible bandaid fix so that DE can switch the riven meta around... just like what Bungie does with playing red light green light with metas.
Disposition is based on how much player use said weapon so popular weapons will get lower disposition while less popular weapons get higher for higher boost to keep up. And it's always end up with people meta-ing everything
A lot asked and provided genuine feedback on how to keep it sustainable. Plus if DE was really into keeping it sustainable just look at how other games did and still do it with similar systems to riven mods in place.
Would you kindly show me those genuine feedbacks on how to keep things sustainable? Funny that people want "sustainable" that doesn't involve RNG but always get something "rewarding" with "evergreen rewards" that I haven't seen any single definition of it other than kuva for them to snort on riven
The other side of this double edge sword is just as bad as well not getting any decent or acceptable stats if you keep wasting a lot of time with little or no results.
Like I stated before, I haven't seen a game with RNG that gives you freedom to control your roll that "makes your play time shorter" like many said on different games before
I'd say two much smaller raids being taken out due to bugs not being fixed properly or at least mitigated is far less lazy than Bungie just stripping 3/4ths of the game because "we ran out of space and can't fix it all". Not because it's too hard to fix, but because it keeps breaking for some reason
Take the lazy route and just up enemy defense, attack, accuracy, and throw in more of those enemies while somewhat increasing the reward... but not really on the reward part. And these are just thought up on the fly that I'm sure most have already thought of and told DE about.
They already made it more accessible. 3 daily steel path alert that gives 5 steel essence on each mission completion, acolytes that drop steel essence on defeat, that makes steel path more friendly with umbra forma and other things in the store And they increased the planet completion reward from 2 steel essence to 25. What else do you need?
True DE has made Railjack enemies A LOT less tanky thank god. Although the reward tables have had no real beneficial change and that promise of liches being connected to Railjack have been delayed several times to where that'll likely not happen even with corpus liches on the horizon.
Seeing how devstream 150 giving us the showcase of having lich and railjack connected, I have to say they actually managed to do it, but shipping them with all of the existing content? I have to say it won't be smooth with no bugs on release and they would make something that star citizen hasn't achieved so far
Seeing how the game is filled with many things that isn't just walk and shoot things, one weapon with different paintjobs as different weapons, I'm not surprised they're working rather slow with 200 people and no mandatory paywall compared to bungie with 600 people and many paywall from content to cosmetics

And what is the reason of doing raid, nightfall or anything that requires you grinding a lot of activity for a gear in destiny when sunsetting and DCV makes things obsolete after some time? "No real reason" because they don't like it and once there's a reason to do it, they complain like someone complaining they have to play railjack to get their lich (when it's used as an excuse of DE not making things like what they showed), giving reason to do railjack
-
If that response was for me, then I don’t know what you are going on about. I’m pretty certain the critique was for all service games. Not trying to add to the Bungie-negging circle that tends to happen here so I’ll just leave this conversation alone. Tootles.
-
Honestly it's more to people that don't do things with "no real reason to do it" as an excuse. If we want to say about live service games having no real reason, they gave a lot of reason to do it, we don't want to do it by dismissing it as "no real reason". Once it becomes relevant to new high level content? "I'm forced to play this mode, it's bad, devs bad REEEE" If we want to see things being relevant, honestly sunsetting can be done making it into steps in infusion cap like this : Earth : 1100 Nessus : 1150 Io : 1200 Dreaming City : 1250 Moon : 1300 Europa : 1350 and so on The number is not fixed and you can make it lower or higher, you can make it so going to higher level place means you need to progress through while slowly "sunsetting" the weapons through progression so you have power to chase throughout the game like that one person in the forum said
-
That’s logical. There are a lot of ideas in game design that I think would benefit the community as well. Just kinda tapped out on the discussion currently and the season kinda wore me out early so I just been kinda chillin on Destiny for a bit as things sort themselves out. Been playing a lot of Nioh 2. It’s been scratching my build crafting itch for the moment.

Warframe is in their own dumpster fire for the last two years now.
-
Yeah warframe has it's own issues I agree but u have to admit atleast they don't charge their players to play the rest of their content after playing the "free" part. So compared to destiny 2 current state warframe is better in terms of free to play and not charging players to play the content that's free to begin with and not vaulting and sunsetting either
-
Cause all thier content is free. You are comparing apples to oranges. Warframe is in a dumpster fire of overpromising and severly underdelivering content for 2 years now. Delay it for months on end to release buggy, underwhelming, and very little content. They also have done thier own content removal as well when people didn't want them to. *cough* Their raids.
-
While that is true that warframe does indeed have it's own issues and yes I'm comparing it to destiny as some of the players and even bungie themselves are calling destiny 2 a free to play game when it clearly isn't when compared to warframe as a true to god free to play game. Any game that think it's free to play but still has its players buy any dlc after playing the "free to play" part is not a free to play game. Bungie needs to realize this and needs to make a choice either the game is free to play and make ALL their content free regardless or stop altogether with trying to make it "free to play" and go back to the paying for paid content like it was before hand
-
I disagree, because the model itself is modeled after a good portion of MMOs. Particularly its baised off of Guild Wars 2. The base game is free, and expansions must be paid for. Nobody in this community wants the game to be fully f2p because that means the eververse must get buffed up. P2W might likely happen as they will be incentized into putting loot into the eververse to circumvent grinding.
-
Still no new war and Steve is worried about his shadows 🤡
-
Warframe is amazing in its own right but just like Destiny it has its issues. I play both and gotta say its pretty fun.
-
While that is true yes at least the warframe team listens to the community feedback i mean the community made a warframe and it's in the game. That is a aswem way to appreciate ur players not to mention they don't vault and sunset their content. I know warframe has it's own issues but bungie should really take notes from the warframe team lol maybe it would stop them from making anymore bad choices and pissing off majority of its playerbase
-
I dont know. Recently it seems Digital Extremes isnt listening all too much. Theyre kinda on par with Bungie currently if Im quite honest.
-
Well if long as they keep making free content and don't charge the players to play it and staying true to the free to play aspect then they are ok in my book
-
Warframe is also a dog shit game that is little more than a glorified mobile game.
-
When destiny is far worse with lots of FOMO, grinding that made rougher over 7 years and taking away content you paid by sunsetting and content vault?
-
Yes, I’m sure you unironically miss the raids you never played. The raids that like literally 99% of the community couldn’t have cared less about. The whole FOMO thing is probably one of the most exaggerated aspects people bring up that probably only even applies to extreme addicts. And the grind has only gotten more merciful over the years, not worse. Warframe’s grind is one of the worst around.
-
Sure, the raid that uses cheap tricks of "do things perfectly or team wipe" and why bother gathering 5 more people spending hours of trial and error for that if the gears is unusable in a year or less if you don't reach the required power in a week or less? Seeing how many things locked behind season pass after DLC and it's only for 3 months? Yes, the FOMO is quite apparent if you don't play every day The grind has only gotten more merciful? When the game is all about grinding bounties for the most efficient progression and filled with RNG? Warframe grind is still light when things you need to grind is littering the place and you're done once you have it.
