It's frustrating, but it continues to bring guardians to the raid to attempt to get it. Let me share an example: Our leading DSC raider in our clan has 218 clears (he is ranked top 300 in the world). He doesn't have it. He realizes it's 3x max a week, but he is continually doing it help out our fellow clanmates get clears. The raid has continual playability because people want the gun (Sweet Lawd it's fun in Gambit). Guess what he doesn't even have 25 clears in? Garden. You know why? You get divinity via a quest, and you stop going in there. I am sure Bungie has analytics that supports my comment. RNG keeps folks doing raids. I'm not trying to upset you, but playability certainly factors in. I hope you get it! It took me 36 clears.

 • Not saying I disagree. But if players don’t want to keep replaying the raid after 1 exotic drops. Then there is a problem with loot incentive and fun factor. Saying this 1 exotic gives the raid replay ability shows that bungie can’t incentives players with the legendary weapons/armor or a fun factor. Instead of keeping players returning thro RNG perhaps we should be looking at why players don’t want to continue running the raid after the exotic drops. I know I continued to run leviathan even after forsaken cause I thought it was a fun raid. Same with VOG in destiny 1. I feel that players don’t wanna run the raid because the weapons they want to drop have around 33-50% of dropping and the rolls they want have less than a 1/150 chance. Throw that in with the fact they can only try a max of 3 times per week and u get a “why try when I’m not gonna get what I want after 3+ hours”. Especially if u already have a masterworked set of armor without the resources to masterwork a whole new set, the armor drops are useless. So now 50% of the drops are undesirable. And u have to wait a week for 50% of the drops to be undesirable again. If bungie allowed two chests for players to choose from each encounter, 1 armor chest and 1 weapon chest, I feel more players would play the raid longer.

 • I think you shared very fair points. DSC also adding the spoils chest at the end is contributing to playability as well.

 •
I think you shared very fair points. DSC also adding the spoils chest at the end is contributing to playability as well.
I love the spoils chest. At least the concept. This is just a me thing but the cost of the chest vs. the amount of spoils u get throughout the raid makes it feel more like a chore than a reward. If they applied the same concept but took out the cost for each encounter (while leaving the final chest the same) I would raid much more often. So far every time I have raided DSC, the first encounter has dropped nothing but armor for me. I am now at the point that I don’t even want to do it anymore. I just want a trustee and each time I don’t get one, even if it’s not the roll I want, my desire to raid drops more and more. Don’t get me wrong I understand that that’s a me thing and many players are either okay or prefer when drops are rare or completely RNG based. But after awhile I just get disheartened. Again that’s not necessarily a complaint because I know it’s not a common opinion. However it would be nice to find some middle ground for players who think like myself and the players who love the rarity of weapons and the grind.
