Can we get a controller stability buff for SMGs?

I don’t know how to word this exactly so let me give you an example, tarrrabah. On console the recoil is very high and when you fire it, the gun goes straight up. If you use it on PC it’s laser accurate. (This is without the perk btw) please can we get some sort of stability buff?

The other part wants the controller version as smooth as the MKB version.🤷🏼‍♂️

        Yes please sick of seeing pc players shooting smgs at almost mid range while on console they are extremely close range.

      • I don't know how to word this but the Dust Palace is lost to us again. Back in Cabal hands. Word is they've let Psion Flayers out of their cages, to dig around in the Central AI's Cortex. Which means they really want what's buried in there. If Rasputin was protecting it, it's valuable. We've got to flush those Flayers out.

          • In the meantime to mitigate for stability, you can use bottom tree goldy or bottom tree striker. I actually want a stability buff too.

            • Use Friction Fire. You don’t need a counterbalance mod for it. Pretty good.

                Agreed. Honestly, watching gameplay of someone on kb/m shooting a smg and land every bullet in the head makes me so jealous. Youd think the already implemented controller assist mechanisms would help but they dont. 9 times out of 10 I feel like target stickiness is actively working against me, especially if other enemies are near the one I want to shoot, making it harder to reacquire my target after correcting for recoil. Even though I can't feel my hands because of an injury, I can still grab my mouse and control recoil better on every weapon thn I can with a controller, which makes up 100% of my play time on every game I play. If I could handle the keyboard side with my left hand I would, but I can't, and won't play console.

It should be exactly the same pattern as mnkb.

                • Nope.. if anything PC needs the adjustment. Nothing full auto should be totally stable outside the intended range.

                    • IRL, automatic weapons are very difficult to control unless you're kneeling, lying down, or they are mounted. But guns don't really kick sideways in my experience as a shooter. But we're space wizards so it doesn't matter.

                    • I don’t know how hard it would be for Bungie to make SMG’s more useable on console,but it’s definitely doable,when I play COD now again the SMG’s feel amazing compared to Destiny.

                      • As a PC and console player, I can definitely say that SMGs and Auto Rifles on console (in my case xbox) are incredibly harder to use. On PC you can easily control both recoil intensity and direction pretty easily, you just get used to it almost immediately. On Xbox it's just like using another weapon, there is no way to control the recoil like you do on the pc. Similarly, the last word is the exact opposite.

                        • That’s harder and more complicated than it seems. With a controller, you’ll never hit MnK levels of recoil control. You’ll never hit the Garden Boss’s Cyclopes with any smg consistently. Whereas autos work well for it. On pc, (mouse)recluse could snipe the Cyclopes. Controller has reticle AA, mnk has bullet magnetism. Controllers are kinda stuck in a bad spot because it’s hard to hit the enemy with an smg even before it’s damage dropoff.

                          • Yup. If I get an SMG, it has to have good stability stat, at least 1 stability perk like Sway Reduction, and be a Stability Masterwork to be usable. Everything else I delete. Even then I hardly ever use SMG’s. Then you watch the YouTube Destiny community who all play on PC. And their SMG’s are lasers with no recoil while having scout rifle range. D2 on PC has really screwed up can’t console since Bungie doesn’t separate the two. Just another area that Bungie seems to not care about.

                              • What? They are fine... You do know that you should be around slug shotgun range for an SMG right? Have you ever played a game on M&K it's just easier to control recoil.

                                Agree, I have what's basically a max stability roll of the ikelos smg (dynamic sway, tap the trigger, chambered compensator, & stability MW) and given all that, it still has way more recoil than I think a gun with that kind of role should have. It has 100 recoil direction, but I can tell you that the gun does not kick anywhere close to completely vertical. It basically feels random and all over the place. I personally think they are bugged, especially when compared to PC.

                              • Jeeez I don’t know? I know games aren’t reality but for the sake of realistic play shouldn’t there be recoil , I mean any weapon fired in real life has recoil. Learning to control it is part of the deal I would say. For the record I don’t like it either but as part of game play I except it . If it’s too much for me to handle I just select different weaponry🤷‍♂️
