I really don’t understand what this stuff is for. It’s just sitting in my inventory, I’m ignoring it, but it’s getting bigger.

2 RepliesLike all planetary materials, it's only purpose is to buy upgrade modules. Honestly bungie should remove planetary materials or atleast let us trade them with the vendors on dlc locations like the moon, DC, Europa, and cosmodrome.

Kinda looks like a weed plant in a jar to me.

1 ReplyI have 6 stacks of 999 mod components and a 7th stack of 79. Once you figure out what its purpose is could you look into mod components?

It’s for finding out if Taniks has no House. He kneels before no banner, owes allegiance to no Kell. He is a murderer, and very good at what he does. I have been tracking him since Wolves broke their chains, yes? Now Taniks works for Wolf Pack, but not for long.

That’s ok. Bungie prefers that we use the materials that are vaulted and cant get any more.

Gunsmith, its a planetary material

But can you roll it or make butter with it?

Its that thing that distracts you once in a while

Planetary materials are mainly used for buying upgrade modules, enhancement prisms, and ascendant shards from Banshee. That's the main purpose.

Glacial Stalwart– A remnant of of the Eventide Colony on Europa. The Eventide Colony was established by Clovis Bray in the Golden Age. It’s main focus was making and housing Exos. Knowing this it could be remnants of the materials needed to... create... life- I mean Exos, since it’s stored in some sort of capsule. So if it’s a remnant of a colony with the purpose to house and create Exos, this is likely. If you’re asking about what’s it’s used for in game and not what it is lore wise, it’s the same as every other planetary resource. I’m answering the question mostly in the lore sense, because this is was posted in the lore forum... and yeah... lore and shit.

It is a currency used by various vendors. Atm, only vendors that take it are Banshee and Spider. I think the monument kiosk also takes it.

Planetary materials can be exchanged with vendors for different resources (Gunsmith, Spider) or exotic weapons (Monument to Lost Lights kiosk).
