The Jagged Darksun sparrow shares design elements with a hate symbol.

This could just be an innocent coincidence, but I noticed that the center design shares elements with the Black Sun, a symbol used by the SS and several modern hate groups. Adequate information about the symbol's design, meaning, and context can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Sun_(symbol)_ As someone with a background in history and with several friends who would suffer under the ideology this symbol represents, I just wish to bring this to the attention of Bungie and the community for an official response. • Ignore every else being hateful. I for one appreciate what you're trying to do here but I think it is a bit of stretch. The symbol is obscured and similar designs are fairly common. Your intentions are good but respectfully I think they are a bit misguided.

      • Bungie there is nothing wrong with the sparrow seriously he put a shader on it without the shader it's a redish gold Sun not a black sun so it doesn't represent a hate symbol at all

      • That looks close to the emblem, but not exactly like it. And the shader you put on there only adds to it. Otherwise it would be a normal design.

They should edit the sparrow. The name “darksun” is not helping.

Bump for awareness. I had no idea. Given bungies history with political correctness this has to be a really terrible coincidence. Edit: I just want to add for all the people saying "snowflake" "that's a stretch" or "you're looking to be offended". The OP has not shouted outrage and demanded change. He just wanted to bring it to Bungies attention. Perhaps, just perhaps, Bungie as artist do not want this design to be confused with the actual hate symbol. And that would be up to them to decide.
