I know we haven't seen much of what's to come in the upcoming seasons with the return of VoG but I'm really sad to say that this game likely won't survive much longer if there isn't a large Forsaken level expansion. The game is in a bad place right now with pvp players and pve players feeling like their voices aren't being heard. I hate seeing the game like this. As someone who's been playing since September 9th 2014, it's saddening to see one of my favorite games in this situation. Please Bungie, do something about this. The steps they're making for loot is great, palindrome, swarm, shadow price, fatebringer and whatever else is returning is super awesome. Hopefully, these next expansions will be able to sustain this game for years to come.

Lol it kills me when I read post like this People projecting . Look I feel the same as you the game is hot trash it has been for idk how long. But let's be honest it's gonna survive come hell or high water. Because uber fans and sheep out number core fans fans who are brave anuff to call it like it is and admit while we love the game it's been in a bad place for a few years. The negatives that are not being assessed far faaaar out way the positives. And yet bungie is thriving. There are more of them then there are of us. That said every time I see a post when some ones threatens bungie with the fear of them not playing anymore. Or tells them the games on it last legs. Its sooo hilarious people think that highly of there self. #bungie don't care there making there money. With or with out you. And trust me the game as laughable as it is to still call it that. Is not going any where. There not losing money on this trash content. There making it people are eating up these lack luster seasons. Excepting vaulting plants they payed for. And seem to be annoyed with the lack of maps and PvP attention. But not mad anuff to take stand. I doubt if the game will ever get back to being half as good as it was in d2. Bungle has all But commuted to it never being as good. No more big expasions..... well no more taken king sizes e xpasions. 1 big expansion a year. Less weapons, removing vendors , core players in the story and universe. Less less less take take take. And all the while never replacing anything. Never expanding anything. There focus is giving there workers more vacation time. And charging us more for less content. And we are eating it up buying 20$ eververse emtoes. Paying for tranmog b.s

4 RepliesWatch Lightfall just be server deactivation and game over

44 RepliesThey don't, and they won't be. Bungie has stated that we're NEVER getting a DLC the size of Forsaken again. They don't have the manpower. They had the help of Vicarious Visions and Blue Moon Studios with Forsaken. TWO extra studios. If you think Bungie can still do something like this without those two studios, you know nothing about Game Development. Stop demanding something we won't get and then crying when it doesn't happen. Set your expectations realistically. Should we expect a better quality season than Season of the Hunt/Season of the Worthy each season? Yes. Should we expect Forsaken-sized DLC every year? No. Beyond Light was amazing as it was. Europa is a massive destination, DSC is a great raid, a brand new Subclass/damage type has been a blast to use, the new weapons are all pretty good, the new Exotics are phenomenal and easily the best we've received in an expansion, the story elements were great, etc... The problem with Beyond Light is simple, and it's not the size of the expansion. 1) The first wave of Sunsetting hit everyone hard, because a massive portion of gear immediately became unusable. 2) The amount of new loot we received in return was too low. 3) No reprisals(outside of two IB weapons) of old loot to help make up for the loss of loot. 4) No meaningful changes, improvements, or additions to the PvP experience. 5) No meaningful changes or improvements to older PvE content.(Dungeons/Raids/Strikes/etc...) Beyond Light has been an amazing experience so far, and I'm still finding things to do daily, whether it be focusing on pinnacles, grinding certain weapons for rolls, playing the raid, doing M/L Lost Sectors to grind for god roll armor, etc... This game isn't in a bad place, stop being overdramatic. Could it be better? Yes, of course. But it's far from bad. If this game didn't die during D2 Y1 or Season of the Worthy, then it's certainly not dying this year or any year after unless Bungie just screws the pooch entirely.

Bungie have explicitly stated that we will never get expansions the size of Forsaken going forward. Many reasons for this... Split from Activision Do not have the financial backing of Activision Do not have Activision’s support of High Moon and Vicarious, some 400+ personnel Bungie have another IP in the works

Bungie doesn't need a Forsaken/Taken King sized expansion. We need a Forsaken/Taken King quality expansion. We need stuff really shakes the snow globe, because just adding more Destiny to the game won't help.
-
The game will suck until the seasonal delivery stops, which it won’t. The only content for me to enjoy is a GM each week.
-
Oh shoot, now the game won't survive much longer? Damn, I wonder what makes this time any different than *any vague period of Destiny's past 6-years of updates*.

Get over it. “People aren’t being heard.” They are being heard, they give what you ask for and you cry. They give you what they think you would want instead and you cry. Lord I’ve been tired of hearing this for 6 years or however long it has been. It’s old. Bandwagon hate. Enough is enough
-
Eh. If it has the same size of BL, or TTK, im happy.
-
They already said that they can’t do another Forsaken sized expansion. Please don’t hold out hope for it.
-
Dont care much about old recycled loot and content. Bring us something new! First time since 2014 I'm actually taking a break. Cant see it be any better any time soon either. Bungie id planning to add old recycled content, and maybe a lackluster seasonal activity.

3 RepliesThe game doesn't need to be the size of any other big expansion period. More content does not mean "better" as you can see the size of the new destination did nothing for this game at all to actually improve it. The base game with all its empty planets did nothing for this game and adding only a portion of the cosmodrome did nothing for this game at all. So, adding a lot of content anyone can see is not the issue here. The issue is that (this company lost heart, passion, motivation, inspiration) and replaced it with the shop and seasonal content, pay an extra $10 just to get some mediocre loot added to the game, and that is why this game is barebone with only one destination relevant with the promise "will do better" for the umpteenth time. No people, it's never been about the manpower because Bungie has well over enough of that, nor has it ever been about the money. It's about the willingness to make an effort of putting the resources back into this game instead of their other projects. But the hard cold truth here is that Bungie is riding this out for a couple more years and they will drop this game as they did with D1 and run with their new projects. Begging them will not change anything. Making hundreds and thousands of posts with suggestions for improvements will not change anything. Not even your favorite Youtuber is going to change the fact that they are getting ready to drop this game like a bad habit, just as they did with Halo.
-
yeah well , good luck having anyone around for those DLC at the current game player satisfaction state
-
3 RepliesI mean... Bungie alluded to THIS being a Forsaken sized expansion. Don't hold your breath.
-
They will likely be the size of beyond lite or smaller. With even more recycled d1 loot in them
-
They wont. Bungie will come up with some cocamami way of making killing 1 enemy take 3 weeks. Itll be the same thing....
-
Honestly, if seasons had double the playable content we'd be less upset with how small the DLCs and recent seasons have been.
-
We need a D3. Because they are trying so hard to make D2 and D1 2.0 with ALL NEW CONTENT being rehashed old content. Europa is boring, Venus and VOG coming back is old/new. Same old seasonal stuff. It’s time for a new game.
-
More destiny won’t change anything. We need something new as innovative to lure our attention.
-
And dont forget the season years size !!
-
They’d get to a taken king at BEST even if they dropped all of the seasonal content for the rest of the year and just worked on Witch Queen.
-
They won't be...
-
Edited by Nebutronical: 1/8/2021 8:33:28 PMSorry you think recycling D1 weapons is ‘awesome’? Jesus no wonder Bungie don’t bother if expectations are so low and unimaginative.
-
I expect them to limp along for the next 2 years with minimum effort and then finally just shelf the game and call it quits.
-
1 ReplyThey need to be larger than Forsaken as well as not be trickled out content.
-
Oh boy have I heard that this game wont survive much longer Haha or another game will kill this game haha. Come on now the only game that will kill this game will be another bungie game. The only way this game doesnt survive is when they shut the servers off.
