Ascendant challenges bugged. Cursebreaker unobtainable.
It took me weeks to get my Wife into D2 to actually get on it, and give it a shot. After pulling tooth and nails she finally made her first character a Hunter. I’ve been playing now religiously for 6 months, and her nearing around the 4 month mark. As soon as her Guardians feet touched down onto Dreaming City she fell in love with it. The absolute beauty of the planet, the crystal cavern, and the mysteries it held throughout. She was instantly hooked. From claiming the entire Reverie dawning set to the Exotic Sparrow, and Wishender Bow she looked like her Guardian was born and raised on the Planet.
My Wife only has 2 Ascendant challenges left, and it won’t give her the completions. It’s ridiculous because this week, and next week are the last 2 she needs for her Cursebreaker title, and literally was in tears when she found out that it’s bugged. She was at the point of breaking down last night after we finished the challenge and it still read 4/6 on her ascendant completions swearing up, and down after we finished it that something was wrong. I began to dig, and found multiple posts of other Guardians having the same exact issue. This needs to be fixed Bungie, please. It will be absolutely ridiculous if she has to wait another 5 weeks for something she has been working so hard towards. Please find a solution.

we are in 2024 and Bungie recycles old content, in phase 35 of the seasonal content you have to complete an ascending challenge, and guess what? It was buggy, if you recycle it the minimum is to fix the bugs However I solved it by returning to orbit so for those who have this problem in 2024 try returning to orbit for a refresh sorry for bad english

Dont come hear expecting changes to help you if in the last 50 patches since it released something became bugged. You are a day late and a dollar short son. stop whining and play content within six months of release for christ sake. Hell why dont you fire up destiny 1 and play that while you are at it?

Hey man hows it goin. From reading this post, i assume you are stuck on the ascendant challenge needing the sword? First off, let me assure you. When i did these in shadowkeep, [u]this was the hardest one by FAR to complete[/u] (for whatever stupid reason) Im a little rusty on it, but i believe you must be holding the sword all the way to the end, and even running it as fast as we could, we were only a few seconds away from failing when we completed. This one has more "hidden agenda" for time trial completion than any of the other 5, and i would recommend trying again. Bring a full fireteam, melt that shit and get out. Only the swordbearer needs to finish for the whole fireteam to get the completion. (Again, rusty because i did this 9 months ago, but i hope this helps)

I had this problem and found online that Keep of Honed edges apparently has two slightly different maps. It said to keep doing the challenge until both maps are completed to get credit for it. Can’t confirm the truth of it, but worked for me.

6 RepliesThat's really unfortunate, my recommendation would be for her to solo it and see if it goes to 5/6. Reason I say that is because I recall sometimes running into issues when doing Ascendant Challenges in a fireteam, it is possible it did not record as a completion for that reason.

I don't EVEN understand HOW they managed to break something they didn't even have changed etc, it's ridiculous that both these + the bones not being there are broken) Just like how they reissued Mida and Drang and told us they knew they couldn't be masterworked and would get fixed Bungie is bad at fixing bug in the chronological order that they've been held on their to-do list

1 ReplyJust to add to this, The Ahamkara bones needed for Cursebreaker are also bugged. As in they don't show up. I assume they're gonna remove it from seal as opposed to fixing it since the lore behind the bones can no longer be claimed and are likely the reason it's bugged.

Every time things gets good her excitement increases and then some mess like this creeps up and it just kills it for her. It’s getting very hard to defend this game anymore

1 ReplyIt might not help much but I'm sure keep of honed edges is one of them for you. Keep the sword until the very end and jump through the portal with it. It unfortunately only counts that way. Then I'd say try for the time trials on them all that way you can figure out the last one.

I even wrote a post not too long ago maybe like a week or so, someone said theres a tracker for the triumphs on DestinyTracker but according to that Tracker it states i have infact completed all the challenges since theres nothing that pops up when i search my completed challenges. Its no skin off my back but still i figured it would be an 'easy' completion since its only apparently 1 challenge i need completed but like i said ive completed all of them since november. Any ideas guys?

I know the keep of honed edges (the one with the relic sword) will only count if you complete the time trial without dropping the sword at all, if it's another challenge that isn't counting then I have no idea.
