Coup de Grace Mission Ends Very Bad in Game After the Cutscene
It's awkward that I have to talk to Spider to complete the questline after the cutscene, in which Spider just told me to "get the hell out of here", and that I see Crow still standing in his little nest.
Bungie, can you next time make a little more effort to make this kind of mission feel less awkward? Suggestion: Complete the mission immediately after the cutscene, without me reaching NPC who just told me to leave; give Crow a dedicated place, instead of letting him still stand besides Spider.

1 ReplyWhy not put Crow in a 'hideout' in the Cosmodrome or the EDZ for those that have completed the mission? Both Saint and Petra were located for players based on completing certain missions. I have played this game for a lot of hours and I'll admit I'll keep playing, but the downward spiral of laziness from Bungie is grating even on an avid lover of the game like myself.

YES. I was confused as hell when it ended. We free Crow, Spider tells us to get the hell out. A cool cut scene. Then the next step is to go back and talked to Spider who just kicked us out. Oh yeah and the free Crow just continues to hang out with his captor. Weird.

4 RepliesAlso it was really awkward how after a quest mission Ghost said something like "We can't let Petra know that Uldren is alive..." except Petra is literally standing next to the Spider in his lair.

Spider: Get out of my Lair. Uldren: Guess I'll chill here a bit longer. Guardian: I still need to trade with you so I don't need to farm Materials for a day.

It would make more sense if the cutscene took place after the prompt to go to Spider was completed.

Agreed. Finished the mission. Got the dialogue “because you’re a guardian” I’m waiting for something cool to happen. I run off to spider, get the lore and then see crow in the same spot with the bounties. At this point, I would’ve accepted crow’s new dialogue to be “hi, I’m crow and my life is kinda crazy” Oh and I did not get the ship.

11 RepliesDude right? The whole ass tower didn't exist until after we finished red war campaign. During forsaken, I've helped people through the campaign and didn't see Petra near spider where she is during parts of forsaken. Hell Saint 14 only appeared me to after his season was over because I never did his quest line but he was there for everyone else who did. It's not that hard to move his ass after a story line moment. Yeesh.

Ya, this was a missed opportunity, could have easily moved Crow like they did Petra during Forsaken. Even if they simply moved him to the front of the path leading to Spider, it would have felt like some evolution of the game.

Technically, the cutscene happened at the end of the season. But imagine the outcry if the mission would only be available a single day... Also Wrath-Born hunts will be staying after this season and the next.

What’s Spider gonna do? Stop us? Lol, I’ll serve him his butt on a silver platter. He knows a team of Warlocks could Nova Bomb him to kingdom come. Even just a simple pop in the head with Thorn would do it.

I laughed so hard at that. I went from "spider is a dick" to, "wait, why am I asked to go back into the lair I was just kicked out of?" Only to find Crow back in his cubby. Lol Like, what?!

Seriously. The Spider threw us out of his Lair, ala the Shore as well, and we just wander in not 1 min later like it never happened. At the end of that quest, with how it was written, he should be closed off as a vendor at the least and more likely, he should be sending his goons to kick us off the Shore everytime we transmat in.
