who’s your favorite destiny couple?
since valentine’s day is on its way, which characters do you ship (cannon or not) in destiny?
ALSO if destiny had a romance option, who would your guardian be in a relationship with?
for me... its DRIFTER AND ERIS baby! saint and osiris come in close second, and shaxx and mara are third.
as for my guardian... well... let’s just say she’s been catchin’ some feels for a certain uh.... little bird... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

4 RepliesDrifter and Eris, I wasn't expecting it and yet it fits perfectly. As for my guardian, he's never really considered that path. Although no one's really sure why he actually spends so much time on Europa, although he claims he does it to "Irritate Zavala."

6 RepliesMaya Sundaresh and Chioma Esi. But one day Ikora will finally give in to Shun Li’s flirting and they might take first place. Saint and Osiris are also a great couple. For non-canon, Eris and Drifter would be hilarious. If our Guardian were to have one…I’d say Eris for girlfriend or Crow for boyfriend. Those two are without a doubt the Guardian’s biggest sweethearts and they’re both amazing. And I might as well mention that I find it hilarious and brilliant that Eramis is into chicks and it just so happens that most of her closest followers are chicks.

2 RepliesI don’t have any favorite romantic relationships, but I like other relationships. Cayde and Ikora’s friendship and banter was always one of my favorites. Holiday and Cayde also seemed to have a good friendship.(She was probably constantly having to edit flight logs on where Cayde went and what he was up to.) Ghost and Sagira had some nice banter. The relationship between Ghaul and The Consul was very interesting in my opinion. Sort of like a corrupt and evil father who wanted the best for his son, but was willing to get it for him through any means, even if that meant hurting his own son. Osiris and Sagira. Nuff said. I liked Saint-14 and Osiris’ friendship, more than their romance, cause the friendship was written in the lore back in d1 and told throughout d2 as them being brothers, until the new story director came along and decided he wanted them to be a couple. Which is fine, but it feels so out of place, since they were originally written as practically brothers. Petra and Mara Sov seems like a complicated relationship. Petra worships Mara, who gives her very little attention. A bit of an unrequited love, if you ask me. Crow and the Guardian. This new friendship is really cool. I love the Hawkmoon lore of them drinking, hanging out, and laughing, showing that our guardian doesn’t care about what happened and has come to realize that Crow is not Uldren Sov. Eris and Ikora. An old friendship, and since Shadowkeep, I’ve felt a bit of an unrequited love. That Ikora loves Eris but Eris does not feel the same. I think Eris lost too much of her humanity on the moon and no longer feels love. Only anger, hatred, sadness and pain.

The lore peice for SoA mentioned it probably because it was so forgotten. Plus one of them has been dead for a while now. Osiris and Saint was hinted at. Rat man and moondust would be funny because we know it would never work out. Zavala and Ikora are friends. Plus it might interfere with vangaurd operations if a relationship develops. If cayde and amanda were a thing I'd buy it.

Saint and Osiris are a pretty well written couple story wise, although they don’t have a lot of flirting, which is why I prefer Drifter and Eris. Also, stop with the Homophobia for Saint. Bungie planned this all along, this isn’t Harry Potter. LGBTQ+ Support in D2 may be excessive, but the diverse cast really does make the universe feel bigger and more welcoming. Glad they took this inclusive direction without making it their top priority.
