Okay, I stole this from Aztec (hey, I linked the video), but still, he's right. As a controller user, it's a mandatory mod that takes up the slot of something else I could use. Not to mention with crossplay coming soon, this would only be a net benefit.
inb4 Just use m+kb
Edit: Not sure if everyone knows this, but m+kb already has Traction built in, it's called DPI. Controller users having it intrinsically would only level the playing field, again, considering crossplay, as well as freeing up a mod slot.

4 RepliesCan I get a mod that cost 0 and gives me aim assist(stickiness)while moving?
-
Shouldn’t be a option or mod, why is our turn speed being limited anyway?
-
i dont use controller, however i used to and i understand that this is an actual issue that i have encountered in the past
-
I never use traction. I make them come to me! Mwuhahahahahahahahahaha!
-
Yh I use on all classes since it cost 0 now maybe put that in the game options

105 RepliesEdited by TheArtist: 1/4/2021 8:08:01 PMIts not "mandatory". I never use it when I used to play PVP regularly. But then my play style as a Warlock wasn't based on high mobility. So its a PREFERRED ability for a particular play-style. Which is what mods are about. The fact that it doesn't cost anything against your armor's energy level is a HUGE bone that Bungie has thrown to PVP players.

So should Fastball.

Bungie wont listen. Sensitivity on minecraft console is higher then destiny. Its a damn joke

4 RepliesEdited by Erijian: 1/4/2021 8:58:55 PMIcarus, Fastball and Traction mods should be deprecated and made part of how the game plays naturally imo. They're all essentially QoL mods.
-
19 RepliesI agree, but let's be honest. Legs only have scavenger mods....so what does it really matter? If they move dexterity back....then it'd make a difference. You tryna run double scavenger mods or something?
-
1 ReplyOr they could just have higher sensitivity in general.
-
5 RepliesHow about increasing sensitivity on controller? I play on 10 sensitivity and sometimes I feel slow, like right under the threshold for me. What they could do is what GTA V and PUBG (if there's more games, I don't remember/haven't played them) did and have separate sensitivity for ADS and non ADS. I feel like my ADS sensitivity is fine, it's my running that's a tad too slow, but Traction increases it a bit too much. As for Fastball and Icarus, people can go without. Fastball is further nade throw (you don't need it intrinsically) and Icarus is increased in air accuracy, which you can just use the mod for. I know a lot of people are gonna rip me out for the Icarus bit, but let's be honest. If you're taking jump shots a lot without Icarus Grip, you're either a dumb player if you can't hit your shots and you know it (Icarus will benefit you here) or you're skilled enough to not need it. If you aren't a skilled player, don't take jump shots and keep it boots on the ground with a more beneficial mod. If you need Icarus for a sniper, then that's you and work on finding better angles. I personally have Icarus on Felwinter's and primaries, snipers I use Targeting Adjuster because I suck at sniping.

1 ReplySome of us hate it. He was wrong to say it should be standard, because it shudnt
-
what exactly does people who doesn't like traction mod means? there are people that prefer playing disabled space person?
-
It isn't just these mods that need changing. In my opinion all Combat Style mods should be changed as well by removing their elemental affinity. But i doubt that's ever going to happen.
-
Traction should just be default IMO.

Edited by Eden: 1/5/2021 5:19:54 PMEveryone here is too hung up on the fact that it's a mod and the idea of just being able to turn that mod on and off in the options menu. How about giving players actual decent sensitivity customisation options, like many PC games and even console games already do? I specifically remember Battlefield 4 giving you the option to individually customise your ADS and Hipfire/Sprint sensitivity on console, and that game came out in 2013. As far as I'm concerned, it's not about giving people who like Traction an advantage over people who don't like running Traction, it's about giving everyone a higher quality base system that affords them more options. It wouldn't even be that hard to implement. You can already adjust your general sens and ADS multiplier separately on PC, just let people do it on console and controller too.

Bring back twilight garrison

I agree mate. My guardian hasn't taken traction off since Forsaken. It would be nice to use something else in that mod slot.
-
Yup. I hate how it feels without Traction.
-
1 ReplyPeople like and dislike traction, and therefore, it should be an option in the menu. It should appear near that "controller binds" or "keyboard binds" section, and should say if you want traction, or don't want traction on anything.
-
Bump!
-
1 ReplyAn extra slot for movement based mods like traction and new ones like a mod that increases slide speed or distance for example.
-
Perhaps just have it as a static effect for destiny characters rather than toggling it?
-
Agree. Same with fastball - should just be the default.

24 RepliesI normally want to see peoples' own opinions rather than regurgitated opinions from a video, but this is one of those videos where I agree with every single thing mentioned in it. Can't complain. But here comes the content creator hate brigade.
