So I just bought the beyond light dlc and now whenever I land on any planets, or start any activity, the screen goes black, I hear the environment around me then the game crashes. I am literally unable to do anything which is really disappointing seeing as I just bought the dlc and haven't played in over a year.
I've never had this issue before and I was able to complete the first mission where you save Variks before I bought the dlc. After I bought the dlc I was able to join a friend and land on the tower but now whatever I try, whether I try landing on a planet myself, join a friend, try any activity, the game crashes before I get there.
My game's updated, I have the latest drivers, I'm just not sure what to do about it. Can anyone help?

Copied from the link above as I can't take credit for this fix (Not sure if this first step is really necessary, seems pointless to me but I did it anyway) 1. Open Nvidia control panel (right click desktop), under Manage 3D Settings on the left hand side, find shader cache and turn it off. Restart computer. 2. Open GeForce Experience, click Drivers tab, theres a box which should have a tick in it (if your driver is up to date) and tell you the driver version, click the 3 dots on the right hand side and click Reinstall Driver. 3. Select Custom Installation and once its finished preparing make sure you tick the box for "Perform a clean installation" at the bottom of the window and then click Install. 4. Once its done, open file explorer, right click on your C drive and click Properties. 5. In the General Tab, click Disk Cleanup and make sure you tick the "DirectX Shader Cache" in the Files to Delete area. 6. Reboot PC. 7. In the video he then says to go back in to nvidia control panel and turn shader cache back on, mine was already set to "On" again so Im fairly sure that wiping the cache and doing a clean install made the first and last steps pointless but Im not exactly a computer genius.

2 RepliesHello. Next time your game crashes, could you paste your DxDiag here? You can find this by doing the following:
• Press (Windows Key + R) to bring up the Run dialog box, enter this command “dxdiag” without quotation marks. • Click on “Save all information”. • Copy the text and use a text dump website (i.e. PasteBin.com) to paste the information. • Create a link and post it here.
