Destiny servers are not available after purchasing The Taken King DLC on PS3

I know this is super niche and it's very unlikely anyone knows or it's even worth caring about (I kinda do, since it cost me $20) but I want to put it out there. I was just going through old games and decided to pop in my old PS3 edition of Destiny. I had migrated up to PS4 just before The Taken King came out back in 2015, but I was surprised to see a lot of my old gear from before the switch still on the original PS3 account. So I played with it a bit and decided to buy the Taken King DLC on the store, but once it downloaded and installed, I haven't been able to access the game since. It's not a specific named error like "weasel" or "tapir". Just a general "Destiny servers are not available" error that kicks me back to the title screen every time. This has persisted for about a week now, and I already checked to make sure my twitch account wasn't linked because I've heard that can sometimes cause issues. My PS3 also connects to the internet just fine elsewhere. If anyone knows anything I'd appreciate the help!

 • Hello. The "servers are not available" message indicates that you are experiencing connection issues of some kind that is happening between you and Destiny 2. This may be an ISP issue. Below are suggestions to help resolve the issue:
1. A wired connection is recommended to play Destiny, and if your connection is being used for other things when playing the game, such as streaming, it's recommended to quit those programs.
