Shatterdive is oppressive.

You have effectively turned Hunters into better Titans than Titans and they have a Fist of Havok that also zones and freezes...And they can do it every time with a grenade and high discipline. Tremendous job guys. PS: Don't forget to nerf Warlocks again in PvE because of PvP btw. I love when my Super runs out before I can detonate my victims one last time even though I clearly have super energy left 👍🏼

      • I feel like shatterdive isn’t the problem. The blast radius of the ice and the damage is the problem. If they make it to where it only does massive damage to [i]frozen[/i] targets I’d be more understanding, but at this moment I’m seeing shatterdive combo as the next handheld supernova.

          • They probably wont fix this for months if at all. Also, BUNGIE actually can tune PVE seperately from PVP but they are just too lazy to actually do it.

            • Before reading, please note that I am a Hunter main and a mediocre (at best) PvP player. Feel free to take my opinions with a grain of salt... I get that Stasis is new and can be very oppressive in PvP, however I would argue that the Shatterdive Hunter strat isn’t terribly hard to adjust to. Countering that strategy just involves not pressing corners or obvious choke spots. It may require a shift in your play style or weapon choices a bit, but keeping a little more distance negates its effectiveness and puts the Hunter attempting the combo in a very rough spot once people adjust. I’d argue that Shatterdive is MUCH less effective and oppressive than the super long range insta-freeze Warlock melee we started with. I don’t agree that this needs to be nerfed.

              • Shatterdive oppressive? Okay but have you seen Titans zoom and zip with unseen mobility since d1? I find quick and mobile Titans very very oppressive but agree with you

                  • Shatter dive needs a cooldown all together.. fight me. Sadly it’s not just the shatterdive that’s the issue... it’s the crystals breaking; their range, damage and freezing capabilities need to be nerfed into the ground. Fing nova warp that shxt! Nerf the freeze to be 1second across the board Reduce crystal break damage by 50% Reduce crystal break range by 70% Reduce titan supers armour by 10% Reduce titan super time by 20% Reduce duskfield pull and slow buildup Change the way freeze effects the character... (Make it so only the sprint speed is reduced depending on the slow stack amount) Reduce the slow amount for hunter dodge Reduce the slow amount for shuriken Stasis had its time in the spotlight, over reduce it so you can find a middle ground now that we now what is “too strong”... crazy how balancing the meta can make PvP playable again

                        • You should not take damage from shatterdive IMO unless you are frozen. People are spamming the ice wall and shatter diving areas and the area of effect kills you when you aren’t even frozen. That’s jacked up

                            • The entire subclass is overtuned, but unfortunately i doubt Bungo will not do anything about it, console pvp has always been dominated by Hunters.

                              Shatter Dive should be the Revenant’s melee ability …. It gets to double dip with two separate melee abilities. Beyond ridiculous. Edit, it’s ridiculous that shatter dive is more deadly and easier to activate than a Striker’s ballistic slam. I get that shatter dive is combined with a grenade, but that doesn’t change the fact that hunters have a deadlier slam than a Striker Titan.

                                • If hunters can steal titan smash abilities now, by smashing stasis crystals, then titans should be able to steal their stealth or dodge abilities. But to be honest stasis for titan isnt impressive at all. Theres nothing creative about titan stasis. Yet warlocks and hunters have all the creative supers and abilites. Id rather have a stasis hammer smash. But maybe thats something bungie is going to do for the future for titans.

                                  • A better alternative in my opinion is reduce the damage bonus of the Whisper of Fissures fragment. This would reduce the range that you’d be one-shot by the glacier Grenade detonation. Another way opposed to this is reduce the recharge rate bonus granted by Whisper of Shards in PvP only. Finally, the last option is a removal of damage from shatterdive against guardians or reduce its effect radius. This is my least favorite option as the other two seem to be the most likely to neuter the subclass. Take this from a Warlock that was severely bummed out after Shadebinder was nuked a 2 years after the same happened to Nova Warp. Just nuking what make a subclass effective and not compensating for it isn’t a good idea.

                                        • What's "oppressive" is the grip the cabal has on us. Whether we wanted it or not, we’ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let’s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta’aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defences, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

                                          Titans have it literally the exact same as a hunter.... maybe even better with its super and a third fragment.

                                          • Yes nerf fissures and shatterdive but we akl know what will happen but ill explain it for you all hunters move to the dome grenade and spec into the slow aspect and fragments which is very strong. the meta drifters who started with warlocks until the nerf then went hunters will go after this nerf to titans as it will be unrivalled and the silly cycle continues The net result is everyone will still be complaining and pvp will again weaken the pve experience as it does again and again.
