For my hard work I was delighted to receive fully master-worked Trust hand cannon with explosive payload perk. Only to know its DPS is too weak compared to current weapons due to sunsetting. Why? Why reward a sunsetted weapon?
-
becuase bungie doesn’t know what they are doing sunsetted items should not drop once they are sunsetted like pit of heresy only drops sunsetted stuff yet it’s still in the game but they took out out worlds that dropped stuff that wasn’t sun setted
-
*sunset weapons
-
2 RepliesBecause they’ve gotten lazy, sloppy and ignorant. There is just no justification for releasing Beyond Light in its current state while simultaneously removing a boggling amount of content and still have oversights like this. It’s clear they are in over their heads. I don’t know about any of you, but it’s looking to me this is going to be a year of damage control.
-
Truthfully im glad it gives trust cause that the only gambit gun i dont have
-
4 RepliesWhat I’m still trying to figure out is why Bad Omens was the only weapon that wasn’t sunset. Trust and Dreaded Venture (only other Gambit weapons I’ve got) both were but not Bad Omens. WTF!
-
9 RepliesBecause Gambit is part of the free-to-play part of the game. Because Bungie admits that they don't have the developmental bandwidth to keep everything in a game this size supplied with loot. So Bungie prioritzed supplying the NEW (and paid) parts of the game with loot. IOW, they want us going out into the game world, playing activities, and having loot drop there. Rather than coming back to the Tower and recieving it there.
-
1 ReplyBecause the QOL and Sandbox teams have rarely done a very good job.
-
3 Replies“Sun setting” is by far the WORST thing they ever implemented in the entirety of Destiny. What was the point of grinding for gear if they just keep taking it away from us making everything obsolete and useless?
-
Because Bungie now takes joy in giving you arbitrarily "useless" gear, that's only functionally "useless" because a worthless sticker attached to it says so. Sunset my gear, sunset my business.
-
The same reason past dungeons dont reward normal level gear, pure laziness
-
Because Bungie can't plan a decent DLC/season, what real AAA game developer leaves every vender with sunsetted and capped gear, the ones who know the player base will just keep making excuses, it's really Activision they are greedy, unimaginative developers. It's hard making content the list goes on and on
-
1 ReplyBecause making content is hard.
-
Hive....BRING A SWORD
-
2 RepliesBecause bungie are clueless. The entire moon being obsolete is more than enough to prove that true.
-
Yeah, I cannot tell you how many times I have been in a raid and thought; damn! This would be so much better if I had a trust as my primary 😂
-
4 RepliesBecause otherwise, Dredgen would be unobtainable.
-
Also we won't mention the Moon.......... I mean why keep it!
-
BECAUSE Bungie is rewarding you legendary shards! But they couldn’t be bothered to give it to you straight up. So they just give you a water gun to you to destroy! You’re welcome!
-
They didn't put that much effort into checking all the systems to make sure it doesn't give sunset gear
-
2 RepliesI have to add to this aswell. Why do the vendors sell sunset weapons. This is a great opportunity to get weapons with random rolls. Just like the armor...I am going on weekly to see if the vendors sell anything with good stats.
-
Because he's old-skool like that.
-
Is that your first time through Infamy rank? Those weapons are just for Collections now. You will get current gear to drop with rank up.
-
4 RepliesHeck...they still sell content where all the gear is sunsetted. That's how out of the loop Bungie is with this franchise.

2 RepliesThey should have never sunset Trust, or Bygones.

Edited by Speaker: 12/31/2020 12:50:45 PMThis is why I stopped playing, they had no idea how to implement sunsetting properly
