Potential names for the "Poison" element
With Witch Queen many are assuming they'll be adding another Darkness elemental damage type like Stasis. A "poison" damage type, one that should be given an appropriately dark name
I nominate "Rot" as a potential name for the element.
Since dark ice got the cool name of "Stasis", I thought that poison would get the cool name of "Rot" and it also works with the Darkness philosophy.
Stasis is the state in which life stops, Rot would be the state in which life withers away and dies.
Or we just get different Ice powers next year or no new powers idk

2 RepliesSo what I'm hearing is "Rot" was a bad name Okay so everyone is leaning on "Necrofire" or "Necrosis" Wonder if the new element type will be used for deception, or perhaps rotting enemies to death then reviving them as puppets? Like we all know whatever this new element is, Savathun or her envoys will use it first like Eramis used Stasis. Poison/deceit/puppetry would fit her thing and the whole "evil" thing of life dying or life being able to be manipulated. I just wonder how it'd work in PvP? Rot an enemy then get their ammo? Get their ability energy? Temporarily switch who they see as enemy and ally?

"Decay" or "Necrosis".

Decay, Corrosion, Necrosis, Wither, Fester, etc. There's quite a few you can choose from. I think Corrosion or Decay work best because our powers will probably affect more than organic life.

Edit: find a Universal Cosmic Equivalent of Poison, Decay, Rot, Corruption,Ect. Example: Solar= Strong Nuclear Force It would need to be = to Weak Nuclear Force. What others believe is Dark powers will be opposite of Solar,Void,Arc So opposite of Solar is "Stasis" since Stasis is a Weak Nuclear Force. Opposite of Void= Gravity would be, Anti Gravity Opposite of Arc= Electric would be(Definition) "Light in your Room vs No light at All" so my guess Pure Darkness. Not Saying I believe the whole "opposite" direction, but that's what it would be, if it's down that Direction. Soooo.....Bye to Poison, even though it is considered Weak Nuclear Force. I believe All 3 Darkness Subclasses will all be Weak Nuclear Force as there is only 4 Cosmic Elements. Strong Nuclear Force Weak Nuclear Force Electrostatic Gravitational force 🤷
