Seriously why is this not a thing? This isn't lile D1 whole perk re roll, what use do i have witha handling masterwork on a weapon with quick draw and snapshot sights? Range on a range cap weapon? Reaload masterwork on a outlaw, feeding frenzy, rapid hit weapon? Just give banshee or the player the ability to re roll the masterwork, tgis used to be a thing on D2, why take it away?

Since everything is about money...make me buy silver for some re-rolls on a masterwork. I rarely feel the want or need to spend money on anything in the eververse and ya they make money off of stupid kids who want ugly cosmetics, but think of the dough they'd make if they made something that catered to ppl like myself. I main pvp and when I find a few setups I like I usually stick with them....I would also pay for some damn map packs, but I guess I'm just old-school and could give a shit about these lame ass game modes that lose spunk after a week.

1 ReplyI had a Trust with Rapid Hit, Outlaw, Drop Mag, and a reload masterwork. The ONLY reason I kept it all throughout year 3 was because of how many reload perks I had on it, but rapid hit outlaw already maxed it out, drop mag was just an added thing to it and the masterwork did literally nothing for it

3 RepliesBungie: We heard you. We are now implementing masterwork re-roll at the cost of one Ascendant Shard per re-roll. Please note that we implemented RNG and you have a chance to re-roll your weapon masterwork into the same masterwork.
-
1 ReplyYou mean you actually want the gunsmith...to do some gunsmithing???
-
I know I know, you're not going to like this but oh well. When it comes to actually improve things for the game that are good ideas? It's not that Bungie can't do something like this or other things to improve the game, it's knowing they won't. The game is being designed to have players spend a lot more time grinding than actually getting anywhere in the game. Why do you think since Forsaken the cost to masterwork items, the cost to purchase materials, etc... has constantly been going up since then? Bungie literally does not want the game to improve at all. the interesting thing about all this is they will lie to us saying they do, but their (action has literally shown otherwise this last entire year.)

Yes please.
-
Good idea. Here’s a bump
-
Yes please. We need ways to reduce the RNG for chasing god rolls. This is entirely why sunsetting is even a pain point for me (aside from under representing archetypes. But that's a different problem.) If Bungie started adding in ways for me to control my loot drops more consistently i'd actually bother with master working and chasing rolls.
-
Had it in year 1
-
And have Banshee take mod components to do it ffs. I got rid of two whole stacks back when MG Scavenger from Banshee was bugged, but this single stack I gotta self manage before it hits 999. Currently at 733.

Edited by an Ape with a d2 addiction: 12/31/2020 12:46:56 PMMore rng forces more playtime through the grind. More playtime is more chances for a customer to make a purchase in the MTX store which's the biggest revenue stream for the game. Though on a fairer note bungo's been working on more targeted / less rng loot in the past couple seasons. This'd be a great addition. Honestly all why not -reasons I can think of are anti-player.
-
Imagine, a gunsmith actually doing gunsmithing. Sheer genius...
-
That would be so nice.
-
Me and many more people has been asking this since Forsaken. But keep the thread going, it sucks that you got a godroll but its ruined because of the masterwork perk. But Bungie never responds, cause when it comes down to the benefit of the players Bungie rarely responds.
-
1 ReplyI like the idea. It's hard enough getting the right perks, at least give us the ability to tweak the masterwork.
-
Being able to re-roll anything on guns is just too strong. We all know the frustration of having the god-roll minus the one perk or masterwork but that's the nature of a god-roll and the nature of the loot based game.

4 RepliesEdited by vl FReAK lv: 12/30/2020 11:54:21 PMOr hear me out on this, bring back the option for us to reroll like it was in year 1 .
-
A good idea, and would save on the grind In other words not gonna happen
-
I would love this to be added but it runs completely counter to Luke Smith’s entire vision for this game so I doubt they’ll implement it. Fantastic idea though.
-
Not gonna happen Past 2 times it was allowed it was abused by the community, so yeah....
-
I like the idea, but the fact that it’s a good idea and actually makes anything better can’t fly with Bungie.
-
They don't got enough loot or content for that.
-
yes pls i have so many weapons with really good rolls but useless masterwork
-
Bump.
-
Huh. A good idea on the forums.

Yea I’ve gotten quite a few I dread getting. I don’t feel like I lose frequently on this game due to Weapon swap speed so I all but ignore handling and consider that/QuickDraw mostly dud perks which makes it sad when I get good perk rolls and a handling masterwork with scopes/attachments that buff handling. They need to add back 2nd perk to each perk column. We had actual choice per gun and the recaster in arrivals was a step in right direction, but it needs to be done on both perks and not just 1 of them. I imagine people would like having a weapon that serves as a double god rolled gun for both pvp and pve where you just go swap the perks when changing activity, but that’s not as viable since some perks are better in one activity than the other.
