I recently started playing Destiny 2 on my new PC and it shows cross save is active however it does not show my Xbox Gamertag in game but instead my Steam name, am I doing something incorrect here or is this how its supposed to be? I can access all of my guns, armor, progress etc but I am not able to see any of my xbox friends in game or any of my clan members so it does not allow me to invite anyone to my game. Am I able to play Destiny 2 on my PC with my friends that are on XBOX or is this not possible? Someone please help me out here, I have been driving myself nuts trying to figure this out, lol. Any insight here on this matter would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

1 ReplyEdited by ADragonWithin: 12/29/2020 6:51:29 AMConcerning your issue of seeing your Steam ID in-game when playing on Steam, Cross-Save just allows you to access your save data on other platforms. When playing on Steam, you are playing with your Steam ID, you're just loading your Xbox save data. You are not using your XBL ID to play, and as such, your XBL ID is not what you will see when playing on Steam. This is as intended and not a bug, so you're fine there. Concerning your second question, Mister Exotic answered you; Cross-Play is not currently available between Steam and Xbox. When playing on Steam, you will only be able to play with other Steam users. When playing on the Xbox, you will only be able to play with other Xbox users.

1 ReplyHello. Cross-play is only available between Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Cross-play is also available between PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Cross-play is currently not available between all platforms (Stadia, Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation). That is planned for next year.
