Ascendant Lens
Hi Bungie
Can we get a final word in if the Ascendant Lens has a use beyond a collectible? I just want to know to clear up my inventory.
Do we turn it in later for something? Is part of a quest? Thanks.

I haven’t discarded/broken mine down though, as I don’t know if it can be re-acquired from collections or not. I don’t want to find it out can’t be re-acquired and I’ll need it. Edit: Note that I can’t find it in my collections today. I have no idea where I saw it before at this point, but I may have been mistaken.

Just delete it, you can reacquire it from collections anyway!

Thanks.[/quote] I got a feeling it’s gonna be for 1 of 3 things. 1) an exotic quest towards the end of this season 2) an exotic quest sometime next season since it sure seems like it’ll revolve around the dreaming city 3) part of killing the high celebrinth of Xivu Arath

I think they need to make a separate collectible consumables section that only things that might have a later use, or have no use at all go there. Instead of taking up space in the consumables section that gets overloaded by things like cookies, or other random things. Also maybe an event consumables section, so the normal consumables can't be effected by event specific items overloading the consumables slots?

I "used" mine, nothing happened. It freed up an inventory slot. The progress bar on deletion was the colour for "use" so I thought I'd give it a go.

The fact that it's legendary should mean it has a use. At this point I think they have their hands full with dealing with bugs and probably nerfing the hell out of stasis to please the pvp moaners to actually find a use for it.

2 RepliesI still want to believe it has a use. If it was just like the Used Toothbrush or Ramen coupon then why did they go through all the trouble to make a new tab for it in Collections. And as much as Bungie is Bungie, I don't think that making the final reward of an event a completely useless item that nobody will even know you have is something they would do. Though I very much agree, they need to at least tell us that it will have a use or not.

I was doing that lost sector in the dreaming city, aphelions rest i do believe, when i noticed about three obelisks and i thought maybe during one of the cycles you get three people in there each with a lens and look through them maybe something would happen, possibly must be ascended. But I am pretty sure Bungie was just messing with us since streamers and the collective community haven't found anything.
