If you don't want weapons in the game then fking take them out Bungie. (Sunsetting is still really dumb and shows you don't care about peoples time spent getting perfect rolls)
This is the worst expansion.
Sure you finally gave us a new super which has completely ruined PvP.
You took more than half of the game out which we paid for and didn't give us any real content in return. What TF was the point of bringing back the Cosmodrome? Literally didn't do anything with it...
All of the new story (if you can even call it a story) was just a repetitive grind.
It's just sad how much worse you made this game.
IMO these are the most needed fixes
- New PvP content with separated PvP/ PvE sandboxes.
- You shouldn't be able to be frozen when in your super by anything other than another super.
- add a permanent PvP where ability regen is slowed down or turned off so people with their ability
spam have to actually be skilled at aiming to get kills.
- Get rid of the fake content ie. raising light levels every season.
- Revert sunsetting on armor.
- Bring back factions (D1 style where we could rank them up and get our exotic class items).
- Why not have a tab in the Vanguard section that rotates the old raids once a week. That drops pinnacle gear or revamped armor like Y3 D1 style raid gear remember how cool that armor was?
- Gambit could honestly just be deleted and no one would care (Meh I guess the 3 people who actually like it would care).
Opinion post nothing to back anything I said up. I also didn't bother to read anything Bungies said they are adding to the game or fixing because they usually fk it up anyways.

Edited by Killmonger: 12/30/2020 2:01:19 AMI’m just sick of this game at this point. Pvp is a mess with nearly everyone just using Stasis because light supers don’t compare. Strikes, Gambit, and trials are all boring and lame. No vendor refreshes, no factions, reskinned iron banner, and garbage grinding events. At this point they just need to do whatever the he’ll they did in D1. Even if they need to charge more for dlc. I don’t care just figure the formula out Bungie. We are partly to blame as well for this because we continue to buy and support this foolishness. They have no reason to stop.

1 ReplyCome back in six months when there will be another 2 hours of content.

This is the worst expansion.
Surely you haven't met Curse of Osiris or Season of the Worthy... Plus, this expansion is eons above Shadowkeep and Rise of Iron. But let's complain about sunsetting and vaulting content that no one plays.
- Gambit could honestly just be deleted and no one would care (Meh I guess the 3 people who actually like it would care).
Weren't you just complaining about content being removed? You can't even stay consistent with your complaints.

Anyone else read the title in Alan Partridge voice?
-
I made a post about lack of content cause of the game director two days ago and that got taken down
-
There’s plenty to do... just when you are done there’s nothing else
-
lack of loot , not of content
-
I just see the long term goals of this season being that you farm the spacific god roll exotic you want first and then focus on rolling the legendary armour to elevate its playstyle.
-
I’m just wondering what the hell to my did with the extra 2 months they delayed it for! It couldn’t be playtesting, because the state of the expansion at launch wasn’t very good. It wasn’t anything new, because we only got a few things. And it sure as hell wasn’t the season, because aside from the gun models, it’s a copy paste. It wasn’t guns additions or sunsetting because, well, do I even have to clarify. I just don’t know, what did they spend that extra time doing, deleting content?

What’s under the ice?

8 Repliesstill more than shadowkeep funny enough even without a new dungeon
-
72 RepliesThe problem is that you want to play HALO, instead of Destiny Bungie left Microsoft because they didn't want to keep making Halo games.
-
7 RepliesAlot of people enjoy gambit they should remove it just because you don't? Lmao mr entitled

LUKE SMITH

I agree except for Gambit, it it is sunset then Crucible should be sunset too.

Opinion post nothing to back anything I said up. *cracks knuckles* HOWEVER, you ruin it by trying to dictate what you want in the game with subjective argumentation. What do you want us to do with this? What's your point?

Luke smith has already stated you won’t get another forsaken size expansion again. So the standard of any DLC. Just got to except that this is Destiny now. Shallow, repetitive content with recycled gear with a full price tag. It’s that or move on.

Lack of content this expansion is just sad.
Just saying, I don't know why some feel the lack of content is an issue knowing there is plenty of content in this game. It just Bungie (literally refused to update it) when they should have with BL to make the existing content relevant. An entire game left behind for 1 destination 🤦♂️ That's the huge issue here along with no replayable content that the first game actually offered. The funny thing about it? the first had a lot less content yet it kept plenty of players actually engaged in the game, unlike this game that grind/leveling up is treated as "content". (More doesn't mean better when the content is not being used properly.) The content in this game is being very poorly handled that this company with the director help literally ran a complete circle 4 years later to be where the base game was when it released.
Pointless to even play.
3 Repliesagree, mars was way more fun than cosmodrome.
-
3 RepliesAnd Europa is Io class garbage as a destination. Hate this place.

The issue is flat out how much they removed. I was chillin during arrivals playing a bit, got a few of my BS titles cleaned up. Honestly didn’t try to finish Niobe or my Shadow just because I didn’t want to grind all season just to put the stuff down and grind BL when it dropped. I was fine, waiting on BL. Now that it’s dropped and I’m two weeks away from having Splintered and Descendant I WOULD love to be able to spend the time finishing my Shadow and Blacksmith. I would love to have the content I didn’t finish back because I thought we would actually be getting enough with BL but alas...there is absolutely nothing to do. Add in that Trials gear is all the same and so is IB. It’s an absolute joke we didn’t get new gear for those playlists in a $40 expansion. WTF is there to do in the game if you actually play it ?
-
Yeah... I just could play this week. All the time... but grind did me in

1 ReplyEdited by GenXer: 12/28/2020 3:26:29 PMI was thinking along the same lines as I played Black Desert this weekend. Sure, BDO is a whole other game. The graphics suck. There isn't the same experience with gun play and sound/music. Frame rate really gets bad in congested areas. But what grabbed my attention, and play time, over the last weekend was the size of the world and the activities available in it. The quest lines didn't feel stale. There were plenty of opportunities to pick up side quests (read, bounties) along the way from a multitude of NPCs, not the same six or so that we have in Destiny, four of which are in the same location that we, for years, had to fly back to incessantly. Destiny could be so much more but for the way it's been set up, ostensibly to save resources in what seems a bloated game. It really appears as if Bungie had bitten off way more than it could chew, and some of the proof is in the flamed pudding we got for Xmas: rehashed (for what now, the fourth time?) Dawning Festival, dearth of loot, a continuation of the same bounty system that Bungie claim to want to get away from, another dizzying array of new activities with mediocre loot, and the overarching feeling that we are progressing for the sake of progress because the end-game is uncompelling. When I am loving a game, I don't feel like I need to take a break. Bungie have me taking some time off every few months because I just can't take the grind for the sake of grind any more. I think for me what is missing is the feeling of discovery. I like to look forward to playing. Instead, I turn on the Xbox, look at Destiny, and fire up Netflix, instead....or pick up a new game such as Black Desert, as I did over the weekend.

We’re heading to another year long drought until Witch Queen. Use the ongoing sales to pick up some other games while they’re cheap, my friend. It’s going to be another long year for this franchise.

The seasonal model isn't working, Bungie have said so themselves that it isn't working and yet they won't let it go and try making actual content because that still requires more effort than this trickle content bullshit we're stuck with. Thats part of why the expansion content is lacking. All we got last year and this year in the expansions is a few hour campaign that was alright but still nothing close to the quality The Taken King or Rise of Iron(in my opinion), grindy ass quests that you have to do on every character for no reason a raid and some more time gates on the rest of the expansion such as the title. We can't even earn that at our own pace for reasons. The rest of the content for this expansion comes from the seasonal content which is also 90% time gated content including another title that's time gated to the last 2 weeks of the season, people are only going to use that title for a few weeks then swap back to one that they actually earned rather than waited for. This is annoying enough but then the next 9 months are sheer boredom because the raid is all played out, there's no new strikes, story content that's added is swamped by time gates and the only real "content" is the power grind despite people saying since not long after shadowkeep that we're tired of the grind since it literally means nothing. Last expansion and this expansion feel small because they are, things are only going to feel as bad as they did after Shadowkeep as we move into 3 more seasons with barebones content and potentially more delays next September/October to continue the grand tradition.

1 ReplyThere is nothing bungie can do. We have been playing the same game for 6 years. Whatever new content they create will never get rid of grinding old activities over and over to do new content that doesn’t last long.
