Hey there, and Merry Christmas
So earlier today I received a message in game that my account has been restricted from matchmaking for two weeks, because of bad connection. And I have received a warning before that, maybe two or three weeks ago, not sure. I do understand why something like this is needed, and yes my connection is bad sometimes, but there is not much I can do, at least currently. I live in a country that generally has bad internet. While it is still possible to get a better one it is really expensive and for me not reachable as for now. For many reasons.
I have read about this from what I could find, and they mentioned also potential bans? I am worried about that as I really love playing this game, I have clocked over 2000h in the past year (have not received this kind of warning before) and just got the BL deluxe edition as a gift. I really don't want to be banned from this, for something like this. I know that it impacts other players and I am sorry if I ever did impact some, but what can I do? How likely is a ban and is there anything that I can do? Someone I could contact and talk to? Thank you for reading and have a good day.

If you don’t improve/fix your connection, then you will continue getting restricted...with each subsequent connection based restriction being 2 months. If you cant (or don’t want to) fix/improve your connection, then do the responsible thing & refrain from playing pvp (crucible & gambit) so that you aren’t purposely negatively impacting other players.

You have 2 options. Fix your Internet Stay out of pvp activities. You had the warning (and thank you for saying that. I'm fed up of people say "I did not get a warning" when they did but skipped past it in a rush to play). And now you are on your second warning this one with a 2 week restriction (thanks again to admitting to poor Internet and not the "my Internet is perfect" line). If you keep on playing with Internet issues (again thanks to saying you realise the reasons for restrictions) you will keep on getting reported and earn more Bungie investigations. Next time Bungie has to step in the warning comes with a 2 month restriction. If this carries on that pvp restriction may become permanent. It is sad to say but in order to protect other players enjoyment that Bungie has to go to these lengths.

Thank you for your replies and words. I guess I'll just not play that until I get better internet, which might be quite a while. So I will be fine with playing strikes, nf, raids and such? Even if some of those have matchmaking? I am okay with avoiding pvp, just don't want my account locked or something.
