How have your characters reacted to stasis/darkness
My Hunter isn't impressed. She doesn't see how stasis is any "better." There isn't anything stasis does that the void cannot.
My Titan on the other hand mostly feels the same... mostly. She's low key ready to burn this corruption right out of the system.

I finally feel powerful. I haven’t gone back to light, except for the end of strikes so I can match the singe for the pinnacle reward.

They haven’t. I guess they do icy finishers but that’s about it.

My warlock was against it at first until he used it, thinks it's cool, thinks dawnblade is cooler. My hunter loves it, wasnt too eager to start using it but once she did she hasnt stopped. kinda sus My titan would rather just use void or solar. he only uses stasis in the crucible (:

My Hunter used it to defeat Eramis but is left feeling guilty and ashamed. Despite having many morally questionable friends, her faith in the Traveller and the Light has never waned. She’s pledged to never use the powers of Darkness and seeks to punish those that do before the corruption spreads. My Warlock seeks power and knowledge in all forms and has embraced Stasis and craves even more. My Titan cannot even comprehend the thought of using it, especially considering he has been ordered not to.

My Hunter has been waiting for this moment for a long time and believes embracing the darkness is the only way to truly protect humanity. My Warlock is strongly against it in principle but begrudgingly uses it if necessary. My Titan is too busy smashing crystals and sending things halfway across the universe to give a formal statement.

My hunter is glad that we are using darkness. He believes that if we can use light and dark we can set the universe in grayscale. My warlock is mainly focused on the darkness and might give up on the light. My titan disagrees with it, but knows that we have no other choice.

She feels like herself before the red war, when her light was taken from her, leaving that small void of doubt about if the traveler really is worth it all. She feels like herself before her life was flipped upside down, cayde, the only person that would allow her to be herself, was ripped from her, a bigger void full of doubt about if this is all worth it as she pulled the trigger, only for the wound to open up again years later when a little bird flew into her life, slowly healing the wound all over again. She felt like herself back when she took her golden gun, and put so many bullets into the black heart that cinders remain there even now. She...feels like a hunter again, stalking her prey from the shadows, living for the next life...she gets to snuff out.... My titan....felt emboldened at first, now she has doubt fill her, not just about the light, but the dark as well. She looks up to the sky every night and wonders "is it worth it? Fighting a battle that has gone on since Time immemorial. A fight we know ended a infinte amount of times with darkness winning. Shes still doubtful and hasn't come to a conclusion, but i fear the day she does. My warlock loves it...mainly because she can freeze all the men she brings home to her bed post, stopping them from escaping...it doesn't turn out pretty for them.... N thats it, three awoken sisters, three stasis users, three seperate tales.

1 ReplyEdited by DragonScroll777: 12/26/2020 6:13:20 AMMy Titan is uneasy and conflicted; on one hand, Mr.Tock sees the simple fact that we did not prepare properly to defeat The Darkness, despite years worth of warning signs, telling us to prepare for their imminent arrival. And thus he believes that Stasis should be used to even the playing field, so to speak. But on the other hand, my Titan knows that many, MANY Gaurdians throughout history have fallen to the corrupting effect of Darkness. And if he's not careful enough, Tock might end up becoming the next Dregden Yor. He knows that Stasis isn't a gift, it's a weapon, stolen from the enemy to use against them. Up until now, my Titan has been very loyal to the Vangaurd, to the point of snitching on Drifter when his Gambit Prime was getting too many Gaurdians killed. My Titan, being a Sunbreaker main, even forgave Zavala for kicking out the flame-hammer wielding Titans from the Last City. But ever since Caydes death, Tock had begun questioning Zavala's actions and indecision. And the outlawing of Stasis was the finally straw that broke the camel's back for my Titan. Now he will do whatever it takes to save Humanity and the Last City, even if it means pissing off his former boss and the rest of his allies. For my Warlock, on the other hand, no such confliction exists. Gamriel has always been a somewhat twisted Awoken, having too much fascination with the nature of the Hive, much like Toland, The Shattered One. He's always been the sort of edge lord type of characters. When Cayde died, something else died in Gamriels heart, something very important. And within that void, the poison called hate festered within his heart. And now, with Stasis just within his grasp, my Warlock will finally take the last step and fall head first into the pit, with the rot called hope and love being stripped away. And all that is left is sharp and unforgiving, all that's left is the man that will be known as Dredgen Requiem.

Only my Human Titan and Exo Hunter have encountered Stasis, and of the two only the Titan has completed the campaign to fully unlock it. I still don’t like to use Stasis in PvE. It’s illogical, but my hatred of Stasis in PvP has completely ruined any chance I had of enjoying it. I’m still more likely to run Sentinel or Shadowshot.

My Titan embraces it, not for malevolence but for balance. one must know their inner darknesses and how to utilize them without compromising the end goal of eventually pushing the darkness away. ..."In mother Russia ice doesn't freeze you, you freeze it" My Hunter skeptically reaches out to the darkness but it responds a bit too easily, a familiar darkness from a previous memory before being exo, flashbacks to The Collapse. "...No...I can't, not again..." My Warlock feels a new power from within, a hunger, a draining needle at the edge of his mind, nagging, gnawing reminders of this newfound strength and a push to embrace it. "...Scientific advancement is the only path to Evolution if we are to survive"

Due to my not having purchased Beyond Light my fireteam are being relegated to Cosmodrome Patrol. Some upstart hero called The Young Wolf is utilizing new powers to hopefully give us an edge against the pyramids, which could be interesting. [spoiler]Sorry, all out of salt.[/spoiler]

My hunter is a scrapper/trader outside the solar system and only returns to Earth once every few years so he doesn’t care really “Guardian squabbles ain’t my problem.” Is what he’d say (I’m a Nightstalker main for reference)

My Hunter is pissed because he won’t play anything other than Nightsralker and those new Duskfield grenades have better trap characteristics than his tether. My Warlock hasn’t bothered unlocking the new subclass because he prefers to spend his time complaining about Hunters and Titans.

He didn’t like Stasis, but realized we needed it to defeat Eramis (even if the gameplay didn’t reflect that). But as he used it, and as Eramis descended into madness, he realized that it feeds off your anger and can corrupt you only if you let. But still, I use Sentinel more even now, for Ghost’s sake.

My warlock went to Tedium to earn stasis n the told the other 2 not to bother, so they didn't. Went from playing 14 hrs a day to playing an hour (maybe).
