Sunsetting works...in real loot-based games that refresh entire loadouts, Destiny2 isn't that game. Destiny will always be a game about 'collecting' gear, based around an RPG that has raids, and a PVP. Destiny isn't one type of game style like games that solely exist for loot. Sunsetting over 300+ weapons only to be replaced by a handful of new weapons isn't how to create new content when the new weapons are still mostly lackluster unless you get lucky with decent perk roll. Just remove sunsetting, at least for only the Pinnacle/Ritual guns seeing as Felwinter's Lie is still a thing and needs better weapons to counter it.
