Hey everyone,
I've been a Destiny pvp player since d1, and i think the Crucible has never been that garbage and not funny to play. Stasis is breaking the game and ruining the crucible, Freezes are bugs, they shouldn't be an ability. I really think it shouldn't be a thing or at least should it be nerfed a LOT, the crucible is unplayable and a lot of players are complaining about it, but as always, crucible is being forgotten by the devs and left aside...

10 RepliesIf you’ve been playing since D1...why don’t you know this game is about abilities? This is what tickles me to no end. You people are playing about a game about space magic, not guns, and cry about space magic killing you.
-
Stasis kinda broken in pvp but it wont be tuned unless people exploit bugs and glitches lol

Edited by Killa Karizma: 12/27/2020 12:36:54 AMAfter over 4k kills just this week in crucible I can say that stasis is indeed a problem. Recently just pulled out a scout and last word and just sit back and let the mayhem unfold whilst I pew pew.

3 RepliesI won’t lie, I have yet to have the problem with Stasis that yall keep talking about. Probably 80% of my matches are as even as they have ever been

I totally agree with you on I have played since the dark below was released in Destiny 1, the crucible has had its upp and downs, but where we are now destroys the game.. I have some online gaming friends that has left the game beucose of the stasis.. I dont play the game as much as i used to now, not even close
-
25 RepliesI'd rather they remove PVP. PvP is the main reason that the game is bad.
-
2 RepliesThere is a perfectly good solution to your problem. Its called use stasis yourself as well. You get frozen. They get frozen. Everyone wins
-
2 RepliesI’m new to the game but rule no.1 of ANY competitive multiplayer game is: 1. Never take the controls of the user
-
I guess it depends, for who. Now its easier for the "worse" players to compete vs that "ace of spades, felwinter, always sliding, wannabe Tfue" players, who are abusing tha "connection based MM" in QP to farm kills. But in generally I agree, ice classes are annoying especially if you didnt buy that overprized DLC.

11 RepliesBungie i have been a long lasting supporter to destiny for almost 4-5 years now and I have absolutely loved your game me personally I have Always liked playing warlock the best in d1 and d2 I quit the game about 2 years ago and got back into it in March of this year, and I have noticed time and time again that warlocks have been receiving the weakest abilities and exotics In the game for pvp. I'm beging you to please un-nerf the warlock stasis super not fully but partially. I had an idea to make in semi balanced to compete with other stasis subclasses from the hunter and titan. One un-nerf the freeze duration for the cold snap, ice flare bolts, and penumbral blast from 1.35 seconds to 2.5 seconds so we have the time to actually kill the person. Two, the change for the range on the penumbral was a bit to much it did need it just not so much litterly I think I could lunge further than 16m make the melee range from 16m to 21m. Three the speed on the crap is really slow maybe change it from a 20% speed nerf to 10 or 15%. Please take the time to read this and senserouly think about what I have said and other warlocks in the community have said about the nerf please respond quickly.

I actually think it’s fun. 🤗

I think some things should still be tweaked, but overall, I don't think it's too bad... and this is coming from a Nightstalker main, not a Revenant main. Shatterdive combo is obviously an issue and should be changed. The Titan super freezes you within a radius if you're behind them, that's stupid. The titan melee shouldn't one shot because of wall damage or for sending you careening off the map. Make it like the Nova Warp melee, just a gentle push. Duskfield grenades shouldn't freeze after a short duration, only slow. Or they could freeze if they don't suck you in. The Warlock super should require line-of-sight for when it shatters frozen targets. Being slowed shouldn't decrease your accuracy, that doesn't really make sense to me. Other than those few things, I think stasis has shaken up crucible in a good way, people are starting to think about their engagements before committing to them and that's something we've needed for a while.

I suggest: - to get rid of the freezing effect and the damage done by crystals for wall granades. In this way you can use them as tactical ability to elevate, cover or elude, but not as one-shot wombo for hunters and titans. - to get rid of the freezing effect when you are in super. You can be slowed and damaged by stasis, but you mustn't be frozen! - to get rid of the ice-breaking mechanic as it is now. There's not utility to break ice (investing on resilience) if you manage to escape ice in ages and then you remain one-shot. Maybe you can introduce an overshield (not restoring or immunity) that can give you some chances to survive. - to get rid of the traction effect of field granades. If I am behind a cover and you launch it well, you can have a great tactical advantage yet, slowing and freezing me or making me escape from cover. They don't deserve to pull me off the cover (maybe void granades should have that ability, not stasis).

3 RepliesAnnoying yes...... Game breaking no.

3 RepliesIf you ape / shotgun ape or don't position yourself well in combat, you are going to get frozen religiously. I like stasis in crucible because it stops coward punch snipers in corners, shotgun aping titans, aping in general, and going around as a group (Easy multikills with stasis) aping one guardian. PVP needed a shakeup and it got it. I don't get frozen as much as you guys are saying so you must be doing something wrong. I am $hit at Crucible but I can still get 15 - 20 kills per game and only frozen once or twice. It is not that bad.... Sheesh

38 RepliesEdited by TheArtist: 12/23/2020 6:41:15 PMWith respect. This is why this experiment of trying to marry PVP to a loot-based, power-fantasy (space-magic) game isn't working. The range of play mechanics that shooter gamers are willing to accept in PVP is too narrow, and it is SMOTHERING any sort of creativity or inovative game play on the PVE side. Destiny is not a gun-game. It never has been....and it never will be one. So playing its PVP is always going to have DYING to abilities as part of its play. Just like player build-strength (as well as player skill ) is always going to factor into who wins fights. My experience is that the only people who are struggling with stasis are people who have unrealistic expectations about not dying to abilities..... ...and players who either make no use of cover....or stand shoulder to shoulder and try to team shoot their way around the map. Stasis gives other players the ability to PUNISH those styles of play.

I left the game, the devs have no clue anymore.

So there will be some adjustment, but the actual issue is being unwilling to adapt not stasis itself.

We’re so many weeks in and yah I feel the same. Very easily just make a control playlist where stasis is disabled.
-
I think stasis should just be slowed yes it defeats the purpose of stasis but yeah. Also I think it should make you slowed for 4 seconds just me but that’s really it?
-
PVP is a complete joke. "Get good" has nothing to do with the annoying freezefest going on in crucible. I have to hold a button for eternity to break out of freeze. Would someone please explain how these sweaty trials cheaters are instantly breaking out of freeze?
-
2 RepliesI think stasis shouldnt be allowed in crucible to begin with, it flies in the face of everything Shaxx and the vanguard stand for. It makes no sense lore wise to be running darkness in crucible (aside from the Malfeasance which was also unsanctioned). Not to mention stasis in Iron banner, the event about "Honing your light".
-
Quests are tied to it. Gonna be a thing.

At the end of the day, it’s just a video game. Another thing, one who adapts and overcomes, tends to be successful. The ones who fail cry about it and/or have an excuse of their failure/s.

5 RepliesEdited by Kouz_MC: 12/23/2020 8:48:51 AMStasis is useless overall. Or say, no situation in pve make them the best choice, except may be for the overload champions. Even then, it’s the thermal overload and surge eater mods that make them interesting, not the subclass per se. Proof is I rarely see anyone using stasis over any other subclass in raids, nightfalls, or any other pve end game content. I mean, bottom tree solar hunter with celestial is the go to for the 1st, 2nd, and 4th encounter in the raid. Titans are better off with bubble all along, and warlocks well is still the go to. That’s also true for the other raids. Stasis is just a way to bring many kiddos hunters back to the game bc they can rely on blind grenades slam combo wombo to get kills in pvp.

I agree that its already gotten stale for me. Its supposed to be stronger than everything else because thats how bungie attracts people to buy it. Thats how it is every season. This game can never be balanced because of the obvious and overdone power creep. That being said, there's definitely a few ligh subclasses that can still compete and I recommend hopping on them of u don't want to use stasis: -Top tree dawnblade. Titans and hunters have a really tough time freezing you when airborne. -Chaos reach. The melee is super fast and goes over cover. Does really well shutting down the sliding titans and chaos reach counters almost all supers. -burning maul. The neutral game shreds. The thermite grenade destroys the crystals and holds down areas they thought they were safe and the super smacks hard af and the throwing hammer bonks the sliding titans also. -top tree nightstalker. This is the master baiter so to speak. The smoke messing up the radar as well as the free invis when you dodge makes the brainless spam their abilities.
