Sunsetting makes half the gear I get pointless
Even if the stats are good I still dismantle them because of the lame infusion cap on them.
I thought you wanted people to not shard things straight away but half the gear that drops is sunsetting soon.
Not to mention masterworking is so expensive and the return on dismantling masterworked gear is screwed.
I’m feeling once my current set is useless I will stop playing. It’s taken me so long to find the right stats for my build. I’m not doing it again.

I left when sunsetting became a thing as to me its morally wrong, gear, planets, activities and then they want more money, nah il pass and will continue to do so until the game gets much better from a loot perspective. Hate the seasonal model as well, it's about as lazy as it gets, drip feed bottom of the barrel content for 3 months to do the same again, waiting for a yearly expansions to do something good and you get shadowkeep....yay 🙄 If you take away the supers/raid from Beyond light it's about as basic as it gets.

i pretty much just auto shard anything that isnt from the current season because of the infusion cap.

27 RepliesIf you really want a slap in the face by Bungie, try playing the Altar of Sorrows on the moon. A long tough public event, and the reward is a sunset piece of loot. LOL. Bungie has become legendary in its ineptitude.

Dawning is going, but the grind for the items is too tedious and is literally just playing the game as I had but with additional currencies attached. There is nothing worth going out of your way for because it’ll go away, sucks, or both. The only things I’m moderately interested in (Trials Adepts) I have no shot at because A) I’m not good enough (my K/D career wide is 1.24, top 13% and it’s still not good enough) B) Trials is toxic as hell. The raid has good drops, but I can only do that so many times before it becomes a grind in itself. Sunsetting isn’t helping many of these feelings. I can’t bring myself to care because anything I care about is unobtainable from my situation or will be taken if I DO get it. There’s no meaningful loot anymore or if there is, it’s kept for a few. Either way, I can’t imagine why I’m not enjoying the game anymore. /s Edit: I played today. Did the Exo challenge and 3 strikes. Then went to CoD zombies

5 RepliesYep, all my really good master-worked Armor gets sunsetted this season. I wouldn’t mind so much but at least give us back all the materials we’ve put into master-working that piece of gear. Bungie don’t even give us that, which makes me dislike sunsetting even more. Too many dumb shits working at Bungie.

Sunsetting makes me not want to play end game activities cause no point at all.

I agree I feel like I didn't need any of my new gear for the story mission and my entire inventory of grinded gear is just a trophy case. I have no reason to actually play now. I'm 1250 gear score. Why bother with pinnacle rewards at all? Next season blues will be higher again. All my good drops will be 1 more season closer to sunset so I'm not going to bother grinding those. If I can't keep the fruit of my labor current I just won't play.

26 RepliesWhat are you talking about? With all the changes this last year and the changes that came with BL, Bungie literally made the entire game pointless. I have never seen a company screw up so bad it's not funny at all.

30 RepliesAt first I could understand sun setting, but in reality it’s just become a pain. It’s so expensive to masterwork gear, what’s the point if the gear is going to be left behind in a few months. In a way it’s kinda made masterworking pointless.

1 ReplyI own Beyond Light, but never made it past the second or third mission. It's hard when I log in, see every single thing I own and love is sunset, and I mean literally everything other than the Ikelos Sniper I got from Hawthorne and some Hailing Confusion pulse rifle. I sit there thinking about how much better the hundeeds of other games I own are and that they don't take everything I spent countless hours getting, then I inevitably log out. Which is crazy cause I was the last person I knew that hadn't quit this game yet, but I guess if Bungie never gets better, this sinking ship is never going to work out.

Bungie has proven to not making the game better over and over again. Not even half baked ... dont trust what they say anymore

The only fun I’ve had recently was the the beyond campaign and the new hawk moon jumping missions besides that it’s just the same boring shit I’ve done over, and over, and over , and over, AND over... AND OVER AGAIN!!! Since all the fun weapons I used to love playing with are gone I pretty much only use the same 4 weapons now all the time. And I’m not looking forward to Bungie reselling us D1 content that we had already paid for and played a million times. They have become a lazy studio. Smaller studios with a much less workforce produce much more better content. It’s a shame...

Because bungie doesnt have what it takes to make a great online game, its all just a shit shill of a mobile game with good graphics to be just good enough to keep you playing to buy good looking eververse items with real money and xpacks.

The least they could've done is kept the forsaken stuff 1310 and the moon stuff 1360. Everything except the last two seasons is worthless. We paid good money for these expansions just to have them become useless in a year.

Eververse is my loot. When Bungie get their stuff together, I'll wish I had the EV stuff I'll miss if I quit. But if I'm going to waste my time, I can't ease money too
