The State of Gambit: No reason to play

Aside from pinnacle drops there is no reason to play. Games are over so quickly now u sometimes don’t even get a super, unless you’re running thresh weapons, and slaying out. Yet there’s always a weekly bright dust bounty that involves killing with supers! Forcing you to play well over the 3 games you’d like to unless you run only optimal roaming super’s and thresh weapons... since u removed/ sunset all weapon related armour super perks like light reactor/ pump action etc?!? (Since when was this announced it would be a thing?) Boss fights are either over instantly if they’re on the ground or drag on forever if u get the meatball. Which is basically 50/50 and of the two I prefer the quick death to a long drawn out slog. Especially when there is now no reason to care about killing a meatball. Killing a high value target drops nothing (no chance of a master worked big out bag.. or any replacement loot) so beyond for a bounty there’s literally no reason to want to hunt those guys down. The loot pool needs a massive update. This iteration feels like you gutted 2 game modes, slapped them together and attached a pinnacle to running it 3x... other than that there is now no reason to want to play this game mode. I would have preferred you remove it completely than have it turn up in this terrible state, then bring it back once you’ve refined/ made it special. Bounties are tired and ill conceived, having primary weapon bounties that consist of getting 25 kills is rediculous. You are lucky to get 5 by the time your team mates have swept in with there cheesy special weapons and melted everything. Bounties need to become team focused, having players running around competing with each other for specific tasks hurts the team play which is required to win/ enjoy. Either make the bounties auto complete with help of teammates or change the goal to something which can help the team as a whole and not just the individual. Also most bounties now involve all pve aspect and little is given for invaders, this needs to be balanced so that teams running for bounties are given a reason to invade and don’t just get slaughtered by a pvp guy on the other team just looking to ruin your day! So many games now no one even bothers to invade, until one guy on the losing team decided to invade over and over (when they have the boss) and drag out the process of losing even further. There really needs to be a more consistent time gate on portals. Having the ability to invade over and over with out break hurts any hope of a competitive game. Catch up mechanics no longer work as once a team starts invading the team behind struggles to even get a portal open... and if it’s not a meatball boss it’s game over. I think you should remove the game mode and give it some love. It needs so much work to become something we want to play more than we feel we have to.... once the pinnacle cap is reached (is there even a reason to hit that anyway now with the artifact?!?) Any cap we reach is only good for a season anyway... but thats another issue completely!
