Just wanted to make a quick post about this. I know I’ll probably get some asshole in the comments saying something -blam!- to me about how I play the game but I figured I’d post this anyway.
The first champion that you encounter in the heroic version of BUNKER E15 teleports WAY too much. I mean I’ve beaten the lost sector solo on 1250 a few times and I do runs when it has arms or helmets because I need stuff for my Warlock but that first champion can teleport WAY across the room and his health can regenerate so fast it’s stupid. Plus he can kill you in about 1 or 2 shots if you’re lucky. If he stayed in place like 2 seconds longer for me to do damage it would be ok but the second he registers damage he’s gone in the blink of an eye. The rest of the sector is fine and none of the other lost sectors have anything THIS annoying. It reminds me of the Exodus Crash boss pre-nerf.
I’m to the point where I’m just gonna skip this lost sector and wait for another one to rotate in until an adjustment is made. Thanks for your time.
Edit: This is just an update to the original post I made. I really wanted to thank you guys for the help and suggestions. I honestly just figured I'd get a lot of garbage posts, but almost all of you gave me some really good info on this thing. I am genuinely grateful for your help, thank you.

1 ReplyI'd recommend a scout rifle. Overload ARs are really annoying to use since you have to hit him like 30 times, you get the ONE overload round, and he teleports so you miss. Scouts are better for those guys in general and using Surge Eater with Duskfield nades helps too
-
You can prefire the auto rifle to get the overload shot. The gun will glow and you’ll be pushed back a little (barely noticeable). Once you get the timing right and try not to land all the shots but the final rounds of overload, you’ll have more success dealing with champions.
-
If you repeatedly shoot with a overload scout he will not teleport. Look up a guide esoteric has a 5 tips in beyond light he covers this well. I understand this information isn’t clearly shown in game but it is actually very easy to deal with when you know how.
-
5 RepliesPardon the obvious question but are you using overload rounds on a scout? If not, overload rounds, ice grenade with stun mod, then clean him up with a sword.
-
I really struggled when using an auto rifle. Switching to Nightwatch was such a huge difference. Divinity is really good too but not a lot have that.
-
I’ve just got back into destiny, I still don’t know how mods work. Lol I feel like this game is getting harder for new players or casual players to jump into. But again that just my opinion.
-
Throw nade at his projected path. Gulliotine ftw!!! Outbreak Perfected from the doorway, he never moves!!!
-
Overload captains are exactly what they are named for... Overloaded abilities. That means they teleport away a lot so you have less of a chance to stagger them. Use the solar/stasis grenade with the seasonal mod and that's all it takes. I've Solo'd them on the 1250 and 1280 version. Just hit them with a grenade with a good AoE and that's it. Stuns them good and then you melt them with a sword and poof. Done.
-
Must use the fragment or whatever that traps them in the ice bubble nade

Edited by PhNx Hellfire: 12/20/2020 9:35:33 PMRule 1 about champions- they can and will teleport with abilities to the extreme. Do not focus on them when they disappear. Clear the red bars first and then focus fire on that attachment solo. It's legend and Master difficulty for a reason.
-
A well timed duskfield grenade will pretty much allow you to wipe the Champ plus most of the adds.
-
Use a grenade with mods then take him out with a sword Ever since I started using the grenade mod I have found them to be the easiest champion to deal with
-
I understand overload is so annoying keep practicing

Edited by STARKILLER2258: 12/20/2020 5:23:05 PMDefinitely what others here said about the grenade with mods and sword, it works like a charm. How do i know? Because since I don't do pvp I had to kill 40 frigging champions in the lost sectors to finish that miserable hawkmoon quest.

3 RepliesAs soon as you spawn walk to the end of the tunnel and duskfield grenade him while he is still patrolling. Then drop down and kill him, it really is that simple buddy.
-
Overloads are definitely broken, it is weird buggy at times. A tip on the grenade overload - when the champion teleports it actually stretches his hit box until he fully completes the teleport. Warlock blink also works like this if you are familiar with that. So even if you throw the grenade where he once was, as long as it was fairly quick, it will still stun him. So don't worry about being too trigger shy on the toss.
-
Divinity and a Pulse w/barrier mod (Dreaming City raid pulse is a great choice) and void sword.. use stasis with the stun grenades. I haven't had one problem.
-
Use the mods, Luke.
-
2 RepliesThermal Overload class item mod + Surge Eater class item mod + Solar/Stasis Grenade (I like Duskfield)= win
-
Hes easier than that stupid champion in the tunnel at the Veles Labyrinth
-
Use Thermal Overload mod and Surge Eater. Yeet a grenade where he should appear and he's insta-stunned with a full grenade recharge to boot. Don't rely on overload gun mods because they've always been trash.
-
Edited by PurePokédex: 12/20/2020 5:03:29 PMSurge eater thermal overload duskfield grenade... throw over and over with anarchy or a sword after you clear the other adds. Like people below are saying and you’ll be fine. Weapon mod is trash and bungie needs to tone the overload champs down slightly.

Do perdition, that lost Sector is easy as pie. Good places to take cover and the boss dies with only a few wacks of the sword, make sure you have your super cause when boss dies few good adds will spawn.
