Hey Bungie,
Do you have any participation in the paid "carry services" on Destiny community ?!
If not, please, implement the "Freelance Mode" for "Trials of Osiris".
I would like to play this activity too.
Thanks

I hate possibly necroposting because yknow, bad practice, but I agree with this statement. The meta these days seems to almost centre around the guns found at the end of these, and most players don’t have the team mates nor the stuff needed to go find an lmg or pay for a carry team. (That, or you exist on stadia where no one ever wants to run with you. Cmon, I know we all diss on stadia but some folks ain’t got a choice! Heck I’m on stadia cuz my console broke :( ) Take the messenger for example, which has practically become the new standard in pvp as far as I’m aware. There has to be a compromise, and I understand the exclusive nature of trials, but with the meta so hyper focused on trials and super prestigious items in pvp, it’s harder for a casual to just simply go in, have fun, and win matches easily. TLDR: I agree with this post, meta too broken, something something stadia memes.

2 RepliesIssue is that you would need to win 7 games in a row with randoms to get the flawless loot. This would be near impossible with the current lobby balancing and RNG teammates. Freelance works in survival because you can lose almost half the time and still end up reaching legend. Only way this would work in trials is if they completely redesigned the loot structure to be more like survival.

Edited by DredLaP: 12/24/2020 8:32:58 AMWould great. May even save the mode. The numbers were horrible first week. Half what it was when it dropped last season. Wont last at this rate. Let the ego boys protect their precious. The more they fight to protect it, the faster it dies. Would be a shame, but they have it coming.

without flawless chest yeah

1 ReplyEdited by Lore Oradon: 12/19/2020 10:27:37 PMTrials is a Communication Strategy Game mode. Requirements to be Successful: Communication *Synergy 👈Big Requirement. Strategy 98% of the Time the In-game chat System is never used. Which is a problem. Just find a clan, or LFG. * The Synergy I'm talking about is if you can Predict your Opponents Move and convey them to your Team then your Team can Execute like if they are a Part of your Mind(AKA- Trust)*

1 ReplyYou know how they say there is no such thing as a wrong opinion? Well.......
-
13 RepliesYea let’s team people up with random people with no mics for end game pvp. Lmfaoooooooo

1 Replygo on lfg and get a team, it's not that difficult
-
1 ReplyHonestly? Yeah why not? I've never really understood why Trials needs to be exclusively for premade teams. I guess it's supposed to preserve the "prestige" of the activity? But opening it up would presumably result in way more people actually engaging with it.
-
So here me out on this, how about a freelance trials mode for first 3 wins? After you get 3 wins your matchmaking gets disabled and you gotta find a team for flawless? How about that? I dont' care about trials or going flawless but i would do some matches in freelance mode to get 3 wins for weekly drop.

Would be great and I bet its coming. It will likely be needed to keep trials numbers up. Trials is doa as its stands currently.

I think Trials needs to be removed and reworked again before any change like this can be an improvement.

2 RepliesI get where you’re coming from, but it’s not like freelance survival or iron banner. Trials is supposed to be the pvp endgame. It’d be like asking for freelance raids or dungeons
-
Would be great.

I saw several arguments. But in fact, there is no justification for not creating another game option, which in this case is not even "creation", basically "making it available". I understand that with this change, the so-called "pro-players", with their super teams full of "Sinergy", would continue using the "traditional mode", while the more casual ones (like me), and less enthusiastic about Trials, would use the "freelance mode". In deep, there are 2 fears ... the end of a line of business (paid carry services) and/or simply the "evasion" from "traditional mode" regarding casual players (like me), which, in fact, make the life "very easy" for pro-players, serving like "small fish" for the "sharks" ;-) Maybe they afraid of a real duel (PRO vs PRO) ? would it be this ? Well, good game for everyone, and looking forward to the implementation.

2 RepliesIt's easy enough to find people that just want to run for bounties etc now anyway so it's pretty pointless.
-
80 RepliesI think you’re not understanding the concept. This is like asking for matchmaking in Raids.
-
Just look on the destiny app for fireteams doing trials bounties...they usually dont care if you have a mic or not .....youre gonna lose alot of games but win a few once your team starts clicking.....eazy peazy finsh your bounty to get the 3 win reward

6 RepliesEdited by Dismay: 12/19/2020 7:08:27 PMLol. Put in the work and find a team. If not, you don’t get the rewards. Freelance doesn’t belong in Trials. You wanted freelance comp, you got it. You wanted freelance IB, you got it. If you don’t want to step out of your comfort zone and play with other people in a team based activity, well, that’s tough.
-
Nope.

I would like to play this activity too.
Find a clan. Find a LFG group on Discord. Poke around Reddit. There's tons of ways. The entire point of Trials is meeting other players before tackling the endgame of PvP. That's how you build communities. Don't hold your breath for Freelance.
