Tonight (Friday 18 December) I'm getting Contacting Destiny 2 Servers a lot. Probably 5 times in the last hour. Making the game basically unplayable. My Internet is fine. I'm in party chat the entire time, there are no audio drops, the party isn't disconnecting. I'm at my computer at the same time as well and not seeing any issues with Destiny Item Manager or other web pages. While typing this, it just happened again. Kicked to title screen after Contacting Destiny Servers. I'm trying to raid with my friends and it just won't work.
