Constantly getting contacing destiny servers then anteater, weasel or bee. Enemies respawning and not dying. No other connection issues on my end.
I'm getting "contacting destiny 2 servers" almost constantly. Sometimes I get anteater, bee, or weasel. I'm having no other connectivity issues with any other apps.

3 RepliesMake sure you switch to a wired connection and turn off other devices that use the internet in your house. Bungie has more helpful troubleshooting tips on their network troubleshooting page!

1 ReplyI am having the same issue .. only thing that is affected is Destiny. No other device connected to internet .. now am being threatened by Bungie that my Account is being restricted from matchmaking due to an issue I have no control over. I cannot tweak, fix, or make the Destiny servers any more accessible than they are currently ... Is there any help for this?

I haven't had any extensive errors like this before but I'm now going through the same thing. I'd like to believe it's on my end because Xfinity has been hot garbage now, but when it's just my Xbox that's affected and not my phone or computer or someone else's computer, I find it hard to believe it's my end. Every time I select a character I get a host of "Attention: Contacting Destiny 2 Servers". Then literally anywhere—raid, strike, Tower, open world—I start getting spammed with contacting servers, followed by error code Bee, then more contacting servers, then finally error code Weasel. So what gives?

I have 30+ years IT net experience. I talk to my ISP often. I have access net traffic dumps. Bungie knows what. is going on. But it is core to the peer net design, so there is little to be tweaked. Do not hold your breath for a real fix.

I’ll be playing Crucible get the “contacting Destiny Servers” message and people will be running around shooting as usual then toward the end of the match I’ll get Canary, Bee, anteater, etc. Bungies “servers” are a joke. I don’t have any problems with any other games or apps.

If something happens to Steam it affects Destiny Unlike in Battle.net If you shut steam down or Steam crashes Destiny shuts down giving you the animal & insect haters warning. (the warnings are negative and they named them not me) With the Blizzard app you could launch Destiny then shut the Blizzard app down & Destiny still ran.(as long as you didn't change characters if I remember right) BUT from what I hear from most, it's the poor quality peer to peer servers Bungie uses instead of dedicated ones like other triple A apps use.

Yeah same here. Keep getting weasled, checked on my end multiple times and I'm having 0 issues. Its just occasionally I get swarmed by weasled.

4 RepliesIf you play on PS4 don’t hold your breath. My guess is they’re gonna try and suffocate and push people off of old consoles and try to move them to PC and then the new gen consoles.

I keep head shotting things like dregs with a linear fusion, they stumble I see their health go down to nothing but they don't die after 2 seconds their health refills all the way

I'm seeing a lot of the Undying Enemies lately on Xbox. Not the connection issues, but Enemies that are supposed to be dead are still shooting me. But what can we expect form a Company that believes Peer to Peer networking from 2008ish Halo era is fine today. Even Indie developers have Dedicated Servers bungle.
