Shatterdive feedback from a hunter main.
Hello everyone!
I have been maining hunter for quite a long time, and have spent well over 200 hours with the new stasis subclass in both PVE and PVP.
Right now, the only grenade choice is the Glacier Grenade, as the others do not combo with Shatterdive at all. If Shatterdive treated all frozen targets as crystals, the other grenades might be a little more attractive.
Some thoughts that came to mind in terms of balancing when it came to Shatterdive (Its obviously broken as hell in both PVP and PVE) is to remove the AOE effect of the dive and make it a frontal cone effect facing the direction you land.
For pvp, this would fix the ape aspect of grenade/dive combo and bring some actual skill into using it effectively, for PVE it would require some placement skill and overall be a more skilcapped ability instead of a boring ape dive.
Thoughts?

I think you need to spend more than 200 hours in PvE amd PvP before you can judge 🤣 shatter dive is not op it has an AoE as do all other stasis abililties, including warlock and titan, glacier grenade is the best but... you can freeze targets and kill them with shatterdive when they are frozen its fun to use and if you madter it properly its more a defensive subclass than an attacking one thats with over 1000s of hours on stasis subclass for each character

I like it as is. Course, aiming is still newish to me, so I sometimes miss and find the nearest cliff to plummet from.

I only use the dusk field grenade because the ability to pull people out of cover is super powerful. Believe it or not, I use shatter dive as a movement ability for the most part if I'm in the air and need to get down to avoid getting shot.

Its not really a consistent combo, tbh. Only 1 grenade is really useful to do it. If not, its just a really weak titan slam (I mean the middle tree melle, not the slam itself.)

5 RepliesYes, I am not a hunter main, but from what I’ve seen and experienced, it is almost an instant kill. If you get frozen, there is no chance to run, so you are guaranteed to die

15 RepliesShatter is useless in pvp outside of niche kills. Cold snap is a way better option with Hedrons for the weapon damage.
