Is Bungie aware that Altar of Sorrow is completely broken since Beyond Light?
The daily bosses do not rotate anymore at all, it’s been the shotgun reward every day since Beyond Light. Therefore the Rocket Launcher and Sniper as well as the Moon Collection Badge and Harbinger Seal are not available in game for new players who purchase Shadowkeep.
This glitch has not been acknowledged in any “Known issues” section yet. Of course it’s going to be rather low priority considering the entire game has been falling apart, but it would still be nice to know if Bungie is even aware of this.

I was going to get Harbinger, but there are 2 things I can never get so I gave up. That knight doesn't spawn down under the stairs.

HA HA. I played it last night and I get a sunsetted Blasphemer as a reward. Yup, all that work gets you a weapon that's capped at 1060. LMAO!!! I'm sorry, fanboys, but this game is run by lunatics.

That sucks ,I was going to go after harbinger,but the master crota nightmare hunt time trial stopped me Hope they get it worked out -
I love Beyond Light for all its faults and charms. But I'll still forever wonder how Bungie or anyone involved in the business practice thought that forcing players to purchase content that's defunct if they wanna see it was a good idea. I mean, is that even legal? 😂 If Forsaken and Shadowkeep can't be free, then I feel like the gear should at least be exempt from sunsetting.

The entire Moon - ONE YEAR OLD as well as partially A PAID EXPANSION - is completely defunct. I've previously done marathon length Luna's Quest for a supposed Powerful to get a 1060 capped reward. Last night in chasing non-sunset upgrade mats I joined in boss fight for Altars and you just get 1060 capped rewards. The whole moon was effectively sunset and may as well have been removed apart from one little strike/NF and it's dungeon. Sunsetting was a con, is a con, but the new Moon fell more foul of this than most.

1 ReplyYeah and the only nightmare has been that ogre in the Hellmouth not the captain, fallen council, or the knight. Not a serious issue but weird. It’s like the moon is frozen in time.

Same with the Ascendant Time Trial Challenges for the Dreaming City seal. No matter how fast you are, you don't get the triumph for the weekly challenge. And for some reason the order in which the challenges rotate is completely broken. So for a friend of mine, the seal is unobtainable.

Yeah, they don’t care. Sunset gear means sunset content that they just haven’t shoved in the DCV yet.
