Now I realized this might be seen to Bungie as a win: "if we get every player to spend 1400h+ and hundreds of euros on the game, we're golden". But the reality is that I'm leaving unhappy and unlikely to play any future Bungie game.
The bounty system sucks, Iron banner sucks, grandmaster nightfall sucks, trials suck, solo legendary lost sector sucks, sunsetting suck, vault limit suck.
Why won't you let me play the way I like, the way I want to play, with my friends, doing activities I enjoy? Playing a game should give a sense of accomplishment, of reward for a time well spent.
What do I get? Being forced to shoot players with scout rifles in Iron Banner, few seasons ago that was with a rocket launcher, then you have the ability kills, etc...
"Just get better". Well if after the equivalent of almost 2 months straight of uninterrupted play I'm still not good enough to do top activities, then there's a problem with the game, not me. I don't consider myself a top player, not at all, I'm probably rather average. But if after that much play an average player still feels no sense of reward, then there's a problem.. I did plenty of raids, did plenty of crucible, of gambit, of pretty much anything (nope, not you trials, I despise you). I grinded the same goddam Iron Banner armor a year ago. An now what? I need to do it all over again?
You give me 500 vault space, for 3 characters, loads of weapons, armors I had to keep because of mods/element. Quests with elements/weapon type/kinetic/energy so I need to keep a lot, and do you make this easy? Nope you don't. 500, that's all you get, get rid of your stuff you sweated for. And this nice armor you thought you could keep? Well no, now I need to get rid of it, because "it's outdated". Remember the fun you had killing 10 guys in IB with a rocket launcher? Tough luck, it was for nothing.
So that's it, I'm out. This game was fun for a time, now it's just disappointing.

Can't agree more. I just restarted D1 and I realized that all Bungie has done is trim Destiny 2 down and add a bunch of stupid currencies to a game they already nailed. Instead of growing the good game they already had, they hobbled it cut content and hid their failure behind a pay wall. They ripped off soooooo much of Warfame they could of at least ripped off the good parts of the game. The expanding solar system, and beyond. instead they cut a ton of content added a bunch of useless add ons that are a complete pain in the -blam!- to get anyway. Grinding for the exotics and upgrades would be worth while if there was somewhere to go and use your shiny new gun. Instead its a pointless grind to get whatever gun or amour piece your after and then, NOTHING.

1 ReplySays legendary lost sectors suck but has only done one twice with another player.......🤦♂️

Didn't realize this would draw at the same time so much sympathy and apathy from some of you guys. This is the feedback session of the forum, so I vented, wanting Bungie to know I wasn't happy with the changes they made to the game. That's it. I appreciate your words of understanding, or you taking the time of explaining to me why I'm wrong, but I didn't post for this. I posted hoping Bungie would just read/hear this. No, I didn't delete my characters yet, and maybe I don't need to. I have no need to prove anything to anyone anymore in regards to Destiny. This game was one of the main links I kept with a good friend of mine whose far away, which is why it was hard to come to this conclusion. Who knows, I may join some of his activities once in a while to say hi... ah but no, I forgot the power resets after each season so unless I grind I wouldn't be of any help to him. Yeah, so I'm pretty much done. To be fair, the shooting experience of this game is great, I haven't had such fun with any other FPS so far (well ok, maybe N64 Goldeneye). That's what got me hooked, the shooting experience feels rewarding, but that's it, and now it's not enough to keep me in. PS: thanks for the burrito recipe.

17 RepliesDestiny is a game for scrubs. It’s sad to say it, but a man has to say what a man has to say. Every weapon is just as good as any other, from blues to exotics. Nothing is making any real difference. Fact. Any gear stat is just as good as any other, from 45 to 70. No real difference. Fact. It’s just about being fashionable having the latest toys, even when they’re actually trash, just because some marketing representatives/NDA streamer pretends that they are amazing when anything is just as good. We’re given the shortest campaign ever, the shortest raid, with the most idiotic and scrubby boss fight ever, that can be first tried by a team of total blueberries with no optimized loadout or weapons; no dungeon, but Bungie is acting as if prophecy was something new only because it drops a hamster loot; trash strikes; broken gambit; and the worst pvp experience ever. Bungie is so cash cowing on their addicts that they didn’t even care to add weapons or gear to the iron banner in a major expansion at $80. As much as I love this game, it’s just a big joke, and playing this game proves we are nothing more sheep with the IQ of oysters.

1 ReplyEdited by Jericho_Wolf99: 12/12/2020 8:16:50 PMHave fun replacing this shit game bud. Don’t know what you play on but I recommend pc Skyrim and fallout and just mod the hell out of them. It’s a lot funner than you think. Bungie screwed up there own game by listening to the wrong people and pandering to the wrong crowd. They had a good thing going by trying something new in destiny 2 vanilla. But then they reverted everything back to destiny 1 killing the game. Even cyberpunk isn’t that good so don’t buy it. Same bs from it of a looter shooter where you have to worry about armor and sink time into the game to level up just to play like borderlands and this game. These types of games are not fun anymore because of the practice. Games like these need to evolve into something else at this point instead the same bs. Anyone saying good riddens to another player your the reason the game is dying. Playing the game as in nothing is wrong is telling bungie they haven’t screwed up. Your not helping the game or the community by continuing to play.

1 ReplyI like you dude, and I agree with you, BUT
Well if after the equivalent of almost 2 months straight of uninterrupted play I'm still not good enough to do top activities, then there's a problem with the game, not me.
This is incorrect. You don’t get better by just “doing something.” To improve at something you have to actively try to improve. It’s not just a passive effect from time invested. This is the most obvious when it comes to games. If all a game is for you is a fun break from life, you’re unlikely to ever get better. Which is fine, I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, for some people that’s what games are, fun. For other people, games are more like a sport, they get enjoyment out of personal development. Those people do aiming drills, are constantly scanning for ways to improve their play etc etc. So no, playing for a few months and not being about to do raids or IB or whatever, isn’t a flaw with the game. It just comes down to what kind of player you are :)

10 RepliesEdited by Tex: 12/12/2020 9:42:37 PMLiterally everything about this game sucks. Theyre milking it for money, while giving us practically zero content because something something making content is hard something. Allow me to draw a comparison to Cyberpunk. Literally so much content that I've barely done any of the main story, just lost in how much there is to do and see in the world. The customization between armor, skill trees, different weapons and playstyles is.. breathtaking. Bungie between D1 and D2 has had nearly equal development time to Cyberpunk and yet the content is nonexistent. Theres no reason to keep playing unless youre a Destiny stan. The customization is hollow, the loot is hollow, the playable story is hollow, the side content is hollow. The game is hollow and they're too busy injecting identity politics (cough Saint and Osiris cough) while making our Guardian almost a backseat to the NPCs in story. Destiny needs an overhauled Destiny 3, new game director or a new developer to survive. Because the game is on life support due to Bungies greed and incompetence.

1 ReplyOh no I need 20 scout rifle final blows!!! Curse you bungie for forcing me to use a gun other then a 600rpm auto or a handcannon!!! Literally unplayable

1 ReplyDestiny 2 was the top game my girlfriend and I would play and we pre ordered with season pass(spent around 200$ in engrams) and really enjoyed year one but after that it was clear copy past bull forcing you to use the meta of the month instead of being you're own unique guardian and once it went free on steam with all the hackers and now with the vault... My gf and I feel disgusted with bungie and we miss playing So much Every season you had to read an online to do list to try to understand what the f*ck you need to do and when it's auto rifle season you better f*cking use auto rifles or else you do no damage and you better have 3 specific weapon types with 3 specific mods from the season so you can burst the shield on enemies and actually play the game... And then they just change the gun type and then the enemy of then month for next season and that's it... Pay up if you want to keep up, it's not pay to win but if you don't put 40+ hours a week Into raids and iron banner and putting yourself through the meat grinder you get literally nothing Will never buy another bungie product again how can you're fans ever trust a team that will do whatever it wants to benefit when it puts players down... Time and time again it really feels like they don't think at all before any action

Couldn’t agree more.. Best of luck!

7 RepliesEdited by iliopoulosXD: 12/12/2020 3:19:04 PMBungie likes the idea of having a bunch of elites and "influencers" setting the tone of the game. Makes them feel cool and hides all of bungies excuse laden lazy development, bad decision making and lack of actual accountability to 85.95% of the actual players. It's why they moved away from D1 type raids. Why they made what was essentially "challenge mode" the end game and continue to push grinding as content. Lazy. Bad. Dont pay for content. Play free.

7 RepliesDo yourself a favour an never try any MMO out there. You lot would get a -blam!-in meltdown.
-
The game is literally just a grind simulator- no game has the level of grinding required just to play the basics - there is literally no game left here after the sparse story...

Has Datto made a video about you leaving?

How has the 20 kills with a scout rifle triggered so many people to quit? You guys don't have a Jade Rabbit or something? It wasn't that hard at all.
