Playing destiny 2 after the update on the seriesX and found a lion catalyst is my postmaster I applied the catalyst to the weapon in my vault and when I went to retrieve the vault with the A button the item was removed from vault however Instead of being added to my inventory I was given legendary shards, I check my controls to make sure this was not human error and I find my controls are still set to default, I've read the policy on lost items so I'm not expecting anything to come of this but were situations like this taken into account when that policy was created. As a long time member of the bungie community I feel betrayed that a policy like this can be so straight forward with a game that is subject to more maintenance than in game content
