I just want a capture the flag game mode
2 flags, not 1. Basic rules. Kills don’t count for points, only flag captures. I just need a fun objective team mode that isn’t clash, and doesn’t resemble clash in any way. I’d be okay with infected or griffball, you know, the OLD bungie pvp game modes from halo. Something different.
NOT control or supremacy. Those “objective game modes” are boring and aren’t very different from clash. I just want a different game mode, cause I’m so bored of pvp, and I want to play pvp. But every game mode is boring to me because it all has the same objective: kill all enemies. I want to do something different. Please, I’ve asked so many times on every single forum.
Edit: The 2 most common responses on the post:
1. Teams will just spawn trap you.
2. Players can’t even play control the right way.
Those are 2 lazy and ridiculous excuses to not add one of the greatest pvp game modes of all time. Players will spawn trap you in any game mode, and there will ALWAYS be ignorant players who can’t figure out objectives and just play “team deathmatch”. Those aren’t excuses to exclude FUN objective modes. You guys have at least 10 game modes tailored to your personal desires, and they all end up being “clash”. If you don’t want to play CTF, then don’t. But don’t ruin this for the players who enjoy interesting objectives. We don’t have a single fun objective mode, and we need one.

Capture the flag Rift Juggernaut infected Theres a lot of gamemodes they could do. If they would just put the effort in doing so instead of updating eververse all the time.

I posted this a couple years ago when they were having issues with faction rallies. 3v3v3 capture the flag. The last city gathers in an arena to watch representative of the 3 factions compete in the faction wars. The arena is a triangle. At each point of the arena is a flag and a spawn for each faction. Players pledged to a particular faction will match with 2 other players from that faction to compete against players pledged to the other factions. The rounds are simple, capture enemy flags while defending your own flag. Capturing a flag grants a point while defending your flag for a round also grants a point. After 3 rounds, if there is a tie, there will be a sudden death flag in the center for teams to attempt to collect and return to the center. The sudden death flag is worth 2 points. I think this event would’ve been the activity faction rallies needed to make it more fun.

Im all in on a capture the flag gamemode. But to make that work, we need bigger maps and 2 or 3 player vehicles. Or balance it like they did in halo for the smaller maps by slowing movement speed/no spring while holding the flag and no abilities.

But here’s Larry with a “We need a capture the flag mode”. I just want a balanced PvP experience and an anti cheat program for hackers, can we start with that ?

8 RepliesIs something wrong with crucible registration . I went from a 1.98 KDA to a 1.86 in less than three days . Can’t seem to hit anything or have it register correctly . Have people with Ace of spades not missing any headshots what so ever . It’s been weird since the new update . I have the new Xbox and I normally run about 400+ down and over 170 up for my internet so I don’t believe that is a factor . Not sure what is going on .

the irony is they had a big team battle mode in d1 beta. had vechiles and new medals to earn. guys remember getting the "never speak of this" medal? the one for running over a player with a sparrow in pvp? yea that was fun. bungie hates fun.

For a capture the flag game to actually work, the maps would have to be massive. Look how small the maps are right now, it would be far to easy and fast to have capture the flag on any map we have now.

What bout rift, I found it pretty fun in d1, especially since it rewarded timed team wipes. Since when it's deposited it kills are nearby enemies. I remember one match, whole team was on the rift of the small cabal map for the asteroid and I nova bombed all of them then I sprinted to there spwan and killed all of em again
