Crow = the new Speaker?
After the Hawkmoon quest it certainly looks as if our Prince-turned-Guardian is receiving messages from the Traveler...the kind of messages for a Speaker.
I believe this DLC and it’s ensuing Seasons will see the Crow accepting this new role. I am aware that he does not wish to be a cosmic entities plaything but perhaps his being open to these things was the reason for the events of Forsaken. Uldren dies to be reborn as our new Speaker.

11 RepliesI mean according to the caydes dare he's supposed to be the next hunter vanguard. Would be weird if he was both. I think it's more likely the traveler is just more "awake" than before. I'm sure there's lots that disproves this though.

7 RepliesCorrect me if I’m wrong, but every speaker so far has not been a guardian. They have a special connection with the traveler. The traveler just used glint to message crow. Don’t think this is enough to call him a speaker yet.

You received similar visions of a bird when the traveler sent you to seek a shard to get your powers back when the red legion attacked.

I doubt he will be the speaker But I do think Bungie makes him the hunter vanguard somehow Zevala I think would welcome him,we see a cutscene of him talking with Red Legion commanders,so the pyramids are making him very forgiving lately ,and Zevala told us not to seek vengeance in the first place -
3 RepliesEdited by superskybro: 12/10/2020 6:09:37 PMPersonally I disagree Having a singular dream doesn't really mean you're a speaker, especially since this quest tells us that's how the traveler speaks in general There's Multiple signs of a speaker, Multiple dreams and visions as well as being a Ghost magnet in general Honestly? The player character fills more qualifications than Crow does. We've had multiple dreams and words from the traveler (the red war dream/when we heard the traveler talk to us on Io during forsaken), we've also collected toooons of dead Ghost and attracted the likes of Sagira and Glint
