Didn’t the Devil Splicers use the Siege Engine to blow it up?
Who built the wall back?
Did the vanguard??
WHY IS THE WALL THERE!?

If I remember correctly, the siva outbreak version of the Drome cut out the steppes, mothyard, forgotten shore, and the sky watch. Instead of figuring out a way to merge the two versions into one, they opted to only reintroduce the orginal version of the map. I would love it if they would reintroduce the plague lands, but I doubt they will because of the environmental changes that they would have to make to it.

4 RepliesYou're asking questions in a game where we still have Strikes from four years ago that have dialogue from a character who's been dead for three, we're still being praised for actions that happened four years ago, and we fight in maps that take place on destinations that have been removed. Continuity doesn't exist in Bungie's world. Just Eververse.

1 ReplyLooks like Donald trumps a titan main lol
-
3 RepliesBecause Titans won the Guardian Games and they demanded a wall. They always demand walls.
-
Just some soft retcon. They still acknowledge that rise of iron happened but also dialed back some of it's impact on the world. I'm sure when we get sepiks strike again we will see some evidence of what happened. Not full blown siva but some environmental details like withered and dull colored siva tendrils. Since siva is dead as hell.

1 ReplyTrumps final action as president 😂
-
Cuz lack of continuity and goofy timeline.
-
Bungie forgot that they made a DLC that altered the Cosmodrome
-
1 ReplyI feel like Bungie’s trying to pretend Rise of Iron never happened. Which is almost correct, as it wasn’t planned in the first place.
-
no time to explain
-
It is from an alternate timeline that the exo-stranger found works best for fighting the Darkness.
-
There’s no answer and no way it could have been rebuilt (seriously, no, there’s no way they could have rebuilt several toppled colony ships, fixed the holes in the walls, or any of that) This is simply the result of Bungie reprising the original Cosmodrome and discarding the state it’s actually supposed to be in. And I do acknowledge that Bungie had several decent reasons to do what they did, even though it breaks canon. (But I’m glad they did do it right in the Thunderlord quest, that looked amazing)
-
Maybe Mithrax had it rebuilt ,a token of friendship torward the last city Got to make up some headcanon to explain away bungies ignorance of detail

Edited by BIRB: 12/11/2020 4:02:04 AMEver since my guardian stepped foot into the vault of glass, nothing has been the same. Cayde is dead and he’s still talking to me on Nessus. Hawthorne hasn’t made it past 2017, the plague lands are no where to be seen, I think I remember being brought to life twice with some ugly Hunter being there the second time around and my ghost went through reverse puberty. Time is all -blam!-ed up in destiny. Should’ve never killed Atheon.
-
That's in the future, wait for d4 for that to return.
-
I think its because this version of the Cosmodrome is supposed to be a version before Rise of iron happened.Bungie said it would be the D1 year 1 version(the big hole in the wall was from year 3 or 4)
-
Zavala had a tough decision after the red war, rebuild the wall or rebuild the tower. Naturally he chose the wall.
-
2 RepliesTitans. Don’t ask how, but just know it has something to do with Titans.
-
2 RepliesI have the exact same problem Join me in starting a movement We shall call it... #BiteTheWall
-
2 RepliesBecause Bungie relies on retcons so much they just can’t help themselves. Consistency is a word no one there knows anymore.
-
For real. I was hoping for a post-Siva appearance. Flowers popping up because it’s after the winter during Rise of Iron, marks left behind by where Siva once was. Really I’m hoping that the Plaguelands gets added back so we can get the entire playable area of the Cosmodrome, but I imagine when they add the rest of the Cosmodrome it’s just going to be the D1 vanilla areas. So much for that evolving world Bungie was interested in. Can’t really have a world that feels like it’s evolving if you can’t see the scars of the past
-
Its expected, are we really surprised at this point?
-
1 ReplyBecause they copy and pasted the old cosmodrome before Rise of Iron into the game.
-
2 RepliesYeah the continuity is crazy. Thunderlord mission has the hole in the wall. Also the 3rd ball on the Colony ship is gone, which means it’s post siva.
-
4 RepliesEdited by Majestic12: 12/10/2020 4:14:45 PMIt’s actually left over wall from the year 2020 I believe.

1 ReplyWhat I am HOPING for, is that the current aesthetic of the Cosmodrome is not canonically accurate. It is "placeholder". I'm hoping.
