Can’t Join ANYONE on PS4 or PS5 - Emergency Hotfix Needed!!
I’ve tried joining friends thru PS4 via party chat and thru my main PS4 friends list like Bungie suggested on Twitter and it’s not letting me join my friends and not letting my friends join me. This is happening to my friends who have PS5’s as well.
I’m trying to raid and do my pinnacles after work and it’s not allowing me to do so.
Bungie, this requires an emergency hotfix. Please don’t wait until December 14!!!! I already don’t have much time between working to get my main stuff done during the week. This is making it much worse.
Further, you have still not fixed fireteam invites via the Companion app which is making this issue even worse!!!

1 ReplyEdited by BradMasterFlash: 12/14/2020 4:17:16 AMYou know it's funny I wonder how many of these players that are having this issue are playing on Wi-Fi or AT&t for that matter 🤔 my brother was having this exact same issue on his home internet which is AT&t but it doesn't happen at my home nor did it happen to him whenever he wired in directly at his home.

EDIT: Check out our [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/258390273?sort=0&page=0]Companion Known Issues thread[/url] for updates: Due to Sony Platform changes required to support PS5 & PS4 cross-gen play, the Bungie site and Companion app fireteam invite feature stopped working. We will continue to collaborate with Sony, but for now please use your friend list and other PlayStation features to join players.

My issue with this is that I can't join people via PS I try and it does nothing. Add that with the roster being removed and the destiny 2 app doesn't work for inviting people we literally can't even bother with LFG cause there's no way of joining the person. I'm trying to do endgame activities and it's kind of dumb when there is literally no way of joining my friends

Idk why they cant put it back to the way it was until they fix it but the worst part is bungie isn't acknowledging it!!!! #bungiehelp #playstation

It breaks a game that relies on grouping together for activities. That they released an update with a bug so enormous is forgivable if they didnt know it would do that. That they ignore the bug and think a week (during IB) dwell is acceptable is just terrible management. I honestly cannot believe Bungie let something so absurd happen. They KNEW PS friends lists were FUBAR since Beyond Light launched, and instead of making it better, deleted them and ignore the problem.
