Hawkmoon is an exotic known for randomly two tapping and one tapping guardians, without it I have to ask is it still Hawkmoon? I would say no. Would hawkmoon even be on the table to be brought back if it didnt have this reputation? I would again say no. I understand why it needed to be nerfed in D1 since it was the only handcannon running around two tapping and one tapping guardians, but in D2 thats not the case anymore, how did you not see this? You guys play the game, right? or at least watch people that do, right? You can see sturm one tapping people, you see ace two and one tapping people, any 120 with rampage 1 two tapping, so how does it feel to know what you did do was worse than if you had done nothing at all?

Tbh they should've just made a new gun
-
It's an absolute beast in PvE so that makes me happy. As for the crying over NOT getting an OP PvP weapon.. deaf ears man.
-
It is not really Hawkmoon as we knew it in D1. I put this gun in the vault for now. In other words, it is in the pre-dismantle stage. The gun is not worth using when there are many other better choices.
-
It isn't Hawkmoon. They could have literally made a new exotic with these perks.
-
Honestly These guys could screw up boiling water.
-
The entire game is a big April joke.
-
1 ReplyThe random one tap got removed in D1 during taken king I think.

Hawkmoon is missing something fundamental without it's original perks. It's like they tore the soul out of it. Sure it's good as a D2 exotic but it's original version from way back when was a gamblers gun. You didn't know what bullets would deal the extra damage, hell you didn't even know if you'd live long enough to even use those three rng controlled bullets in crucible but that's what made Hawkmoon so appealing. Sure you could use thorn, Ace of spades, the first curse or the last word but Hawkmoon could either save your life by blessing you with extra damage bullets when you're opponent is about to kill you or it could doom you. It was a gun for the adrenaline junkies out there that loved do or die scenarios. And honestly this new iteration may be strong but it isn't the same gun.

I mean, literally first game i played with this hand cannon i one shot somebody, so I dont see your point.

8 RepliesEdited by Doctor_Roidberg: 12/11/2020 11:46:01 AMIt’s not made for PvP. Hate to tell you guys, and I’m not defending the decision to make it fully PvE oriented. But it’s an absolute monster in PvE now. With Paracausal Shot x7 it deals about 25% more damage than a shot from LEVIATHAN’S BREATH

6 Repliesyou havent even paid attention to the -blam!-ing quest like every baby cring 'bring the old hawkmoon back'. IT'S NOT THE SAME GUN. ffs enjoy the story for once and accept that this hawkmoon is a NEW gun
-
1 Replyhere is your real problem with hawkmoon. its not rng free kills. most people wanted d1 year 1 hawkmoon that was stupid broken. why? cuz crutches am i right?
-
It can still 1-tap. You just need to be good now instead of RNG.
-
2 RepliesLet's drop this Hawkmoon OHK in pvp tale like it happened in every game. It was a rare occasion for the perk to proc on the same bullet to 1 shot kill guardians. It didn't happen every 5 mins
-
They didn't bring it back for PvP. I don't think they even care about PvP anymore, which makes me happy.

13 Replies*Reads title* Oh wow you said that thing that one guy said when he went to that thiiiinnng. Woaaaah. Is it me or do you guys think it's one dude with a bunch of spoof accounts making topics that are slightly different than the other? Holy christ man, the fng gun just came out on reset and because 2 people don't like it, the forums have to be spammed with I nO LikE GuHn, iT mAkE lIkE pOo PoO.

I remember hawk moon as a cannon with ridiculous range, decent accuracy, a large magazine, and then the holding aces/litc potential(from what I read). Then they nerfed it just before bringing it to Xbox. I thought it was decent. I have yet to get the new one. I think I’d rather know when the big round is in the chamber.
-
I already got multiple 1- and 2-shot kills with Hawkmoon in IB yesterday. It's still Hawkmoon but now requires skill instead of luck. Much better than in D1.
-
you can control the 2 tap/ 1 tap, and the base gun shot is fantastic, can't wait for a full range one
-
It’s not hawkmoon. It’s something else. Why call it hawkmoon?
-
They literally said 4 months ago that it wasn't going to have lucky bullets. Because they don't like having perks like that in the game. It was never going to be like the original Hawkmoon. What exactly did you expect?
-
This is what we get when we see nerf posts all over. They take things way too far, if the community would stop moaning we might get nice things.
-
Don't you guys look at other forum posts before posting your own? There's a stupid amount of these posts on the front page of the forum. It'd be so much more effective to just have one post about it where everyone has their say than all these countless copycat posts. As far as the gun goes, yes I had D1 Hawkmoon and I actually really like this version. It makes more sense to know where the powerful bullet will be than for it to be random. It makes more sense to have to earn that powerful bullet. It makes sense to have random rolls on the gun so you can get an even better version. You all just moan about anything and everything at this point.
-
1 ReplyOHK primaries should never be a thing. The quest was great but they shouldn’t have used the same name when they (rightly) left its exotic perks in D1, because this gun isn’t Hawkmoon (thank god).
-
Random two taps are terrible balance-wise but it'd be nice if Hawkmoon could two tap more than once a magazine because in the first game it could three times in one.
-
In-Game audio says it's not actually Hawkmoon. It's a reforged traveler-infused effigy, since all real Hawkmoons were destroyed with the Vault in the Red War. So, you're right. It isn't Hawkmoon. And the game agrees.
