Since the update dropped I’ve had bad screen tear and frame rate on only destiny. Seeing other reports of this as well from PS4 players.

14 RepliesHi there. For anyone experiencing performing issues on console, please go to Settings > Video and choose the "Reset to Defaults" option. This will force FOV and Vsync settings to the console's intended defaults and hopefully resolve any screen tearing or frame rate issues.

This is literally unplayable now. Audio cuts in and out. My guns don't even make sound half of the time. I got four feathers for the hawkmoon quest before it completely freezing and kicking me. My entire Xbox hasn't run the same since the update
-
Yes I’ve noticed this. Is so frustrating. Literally fine less the a week ago plus the game is being plagued by error codes a lot atm and really hard to get anything done.

something dumb that worked for me on my xbox one x i found on reddit, go to settings in game then video and push "X" to reset video defaults, i know it will look or seem dumb but it worked i dont know why but my tearing is gone now. hope this helps console player on the current gen.

Oh this is absolutely an issue on PS4 pro as well. It’s borderline unplayable because of it.

I'm experiencing it too, although to be honest it hasn't affected me anywhere near as much as others, since I'm on a day one Xbox One, and performance has been a distant fantasy for quite some time now...

Edited by Smudger: 12/9/2020 1:02:26 PMYeah same thing on Xbox one x, 2 buddy's of mine in the raid team had the same last night. Any news on this seems to have appeared after latest update.

Yes. Just noticed this on my Xbox One when jumping and turning in the corridor toward Blind Well.

Same for me. Not so much as screen tearing but noticeable stuttering and fps lag spikes when moving and playing the game.
-
Yeah, it's literally unplayable for me. I get a headache within 5 minutes. Hopefully this is fixed quickly.
-
Yes hopefully they fix this ASAP 😕
-
Yup, the update wrecked Xbox One and PS4.
-
Yeah my frame rate on my XB1 really did drop after the update dropped.
-
Same. Have Xbox One X and the drops are quite terrible after this recent update. Hope they fix it fast!

Edited by Danger: 12/9/2020 1:13:46 AMIt's happening because that's their way of saying "Time to get the PS5, stop using the PS4 Pro or Regular PS4". Few years later, they'll ditch PS4 as the legacy console like they had with the PS3 6 years ago when the Rise of Iron D1 Expansion came out, and later the new expansions will be only for the PS5.
