I'm genuinely confounded to how this is actually possible.
Season of the Hunt is absolute... well trash for a number of reasons.
Lure is not that consistent for the loot you want to get making it still kind of RNG to get what you want.
Having to pad out the seasonal content with more strikes, crucible and gambit because there is a lack of substance in the seasonal content.
No updates to core activities that make it even more tedious to farm the charges. Sure, there is 1 whole gun per playlist but thats hardly enough to keep a player interested.
Hunts are piss easy.
No actually new locations, all the seasonal takes place in existing areas and just re-treads which is beyond lazy. I already know for a fact the High Celebrant is also going to be a re-tread in the Dreaming City.
Uldren/Crow doesn't even talk when you are viewing him as a vendor.
Take Variks' face and slap it on Crow and they are virtually no different from each other.
Bounties are completely pointless and are just more XP fodder than actually anything useful.
Undying was more interesting even if it had barely anything as well, we had a 6 man activity that was quite fun and dropped loot frequently and having bounties to get specific weapon drops and it also had a completely new area, sure it was the Black Garden but a brand new section of it.
Worthy was boring but at least had a more interesting narrative, actually had new locations because of the Bunkers. Sure Seraph Towers wasn't the most liked activity but at least it was more interesting than Hunts for the third time. Bunkers had a daily clear out mechanic, and other such stuff.
Season of the Hunt is a piss poor season with nothing of actual substance. How are the seasons getting progressively more shit?
The whole game is in a real content and loot drought and without previous content to stave it off a bit... we got absolutely nothing. I've pretty much stopped playing the game for now as there is nothing going on. Sunsetting and reissuing raid loot has put me off DSC along with the Title not requiring flawless and the exotic being garbage outside of gambit.

6 RepliesEdited by 123TheCloop: 12/7/2020 6:39:50 PMFor the love of god, I wish people would stop using covid as an excuse to this abysmal DLC. Let me break a few things down for ya, studios a lot of the time DO NOT require face to face work. they most of the time will work using software (that is given free to staff through studio licences by the companies) for instance, 3DS Max, Zbrush, Substance Painter/Designer, Adobe Photoshop CC etc. all this is given free to working staff because they pay (bungie pay) for studio licences which allows them "multiple licences" across multiple devices for the staff to use. Software such as this require 1 person to use at a given time so again, most of the studio when it comes to 3D models, animations, textures dont require EVERYONE to be working all at once on the "same thing". Now lets get to the engine for D2. most engines will use whats known as "source control" UE4 has this feature along with other engines and it essentially allows multiple users to work on a single "localised" build of the game by simply "locking" certain assets that are being worked on by certain staff so that once "the asset is finished/created/updated" its pushed to the source control build which is then updated and applied to all other source control users. basically meaning AGAIN you dont HAVE to be all together to work on the same thing at once. Granted stuff might be "slower" in terms of getting stuff approved by senior staff members for the Art team etc. but its by no means enough of a "delay" as to why this DLC had abysmal launch. Oh lets not forget most DLC's are not built in "2 months" typically from the date of conceptualization are normally started on years before hand (why do you think bungie were able to show the next 2 DLC's after BL) yh exactly because stuff like that is worked on years before hand. as mentioned above the side that is involved in creating the physical assets and textures, animations DO NOT require face to face work to a point that there really should be no "delay" or issue in doing the work from home. There will be regular meetings to discuss work completed etc. but again this can be done now via online through zoom calls etc. please stop using covid as an excuse when studios realistically dont actually require "much" face to face engagements to complete the work outlined.
