So, it's pretty obvious literally NOBODY likes Shaw Han. My suggestion? Replace him with Shiro. Let's do a quick comparison, along with the pros/cons Shaw Han: stereotypical "Guy" in some badly colored raid armor. (I haven't done the New Light intro, so take this all with a grain of salt fyi) He just kinda shows up out of nowhere (I have searched the lore for him. none) and starts bossing us (us, who killed [in D1] crota, oryx, skolas [twice], Taniks [like, 9000 times], and secured the plaguelands, as well as [in D2] killed ghaul, panoptes, Xol, ALL the barons, as well as [sorta] the last ahamkara- riven, Killed them ALL again in shadowkeep, and now this crap in beyond light {haha, Skolas robot go brrrrrr}, not to mention all the seasonal stuff (uh, hello, nine?). So, yeah. Let me rephrase: Literally a guy with no personality, nobody knows who comes out of nowhere and starts bossing us around. (even though the old planetary vendors were annoying, they had PERSONALITY, they had LORE written about them, and they seemed to actually be WORKING while we patrolled {Asher, for instance, was actually working on stopping the Taken}). Now, let's take a look at Shiro-4 (and how he would seem if he were added) Guy from D1, Cayde's second-in-command. Helped rebuild the Iron legacy alongside our guardian. Had a somewhat bada$$ look, and a good voice actor. Had history with our guardian, and we would feel comfortable taking orders from him. Did I mention he's Cayde's SECOND IN COMMAND? And look, it's not like he's even at the tower doing anything right now anyways (not with the Dare and everything). Now, let's do pros/cons list: Shaw han: Pros: Planetary vendor Helps new players (a little) Cons: Nobody likes him Never existed in the DU until now 0 personality no drive to try to "Connect" with him. Chaperone Shiro-4 Pros: Planetary vendor Could be new Intro-guy, or Shaw just introduces new guardians to him. What i'm trying to say is, have BOTH at least! Know's our guardian Actually looks cool Has a ton of lore Could call us Young Wolf sometimes as a nod to RoI New players might actually want to learn more about other "human species/races", and would give a futuristic feel to the game for new players. A GREAT WAY TO HAVE A GJALLARHORN QUEST Cons: Have to get rid of Shaw Han (is this actually a con tho?)
