Question about Taniks
When we fight him in the orbital station he’s normal Taniks, but when we’re on Europa he’s suddenly fused to a shank. Did he just attach to a shank while buried under rubble or was that just another body Taniks had?

9 RepliesDidn't we kill him in d1? then again when he turned into siva, then again as a nightmare (aren't nightmares dead?), how is he back again. How can we play on old locations like titan on gambit and crucible matches when the darkness got rid of them...? Let's say they're old games, how are we using new darkness abilities with new weapons like the lament and new raid gear, but in the past? How can a robot be gay? How do they have seggs with a human being? let alone gay seggs? Does Saint-14 have a detachable thingy he can put on to peg Osiris from the back? Who's the bottom?

1 ReplyI guess Taniks is just a bunch of robot parts and software at this point, so downloading into another scrap heap isn’t out of the question I suppose. I’m really surprised that not more people are having a problem with the jumping puzzle in space. It’s in orbit ffs, there should be no gravity that’s noticeable, no f’ng jumping. Also why the flying F are the solar panels rotating like crazy instead of being aligned with the sun. Makes zero sense. You could have rotating sections for simulating gravity inside with centrifugal force, but swirling solar panels ....

4 RepliesHey! Just for a quick lore tidbit to help, if I'm not mistaken, it's because of the heat from the crash. Since he's metal, and the shank was as well, he sort of fused to it and became a mechanical abomination. Hope this helps.

I THINK, but I'm not sure, that he was rebuilt as an exo for DSC, and when we returned the nuclear cores to the ship in the 3rd encounter he mighta slurped em up and fused with a S.A.B.E.R. chassis because radioactivity mutations are wack lol

I like to think that atraks made it so if taniks is about to die it just morphs his body into what we fight, also why have we fought him a total of 5 different times? 2 strikes in destiny 1 we fought two different forms of taniks, we fought him another time in Shadowkeep with his nightmare, and twice in deep stone crypt.
